Hmmm this is something interesting…
I called EB games today and they said that Street Fighter VI special edition will include a special edition SF arcade stick. (huh???)
Does anyone have any info on this? And what stick these guys are talking about?

It happened to me. I wonder if they mean the fightpad ?
Got a pal who’s a manager at Gamestop(same thing as EB), as far as he know’s nothing has been said about what else, if anything, comes in the SF4 LE set. Of course, everyone knows how reliable “I heard from…” stuff can be though, so…
Considering the arcade sticks are $150 and $60 and the LE SF4 is only $80, I wouldn’t think they would be packed in. The Fightpads are supposed to be $40, so that would be more likely than the arcade sticks. Still, I’m not counting on getting either with the LE set.
thanks. I’ll do that tommarow

Does anyone have comments on the 60 dollar Stick? All i’ve been reading is about the 150 TE edition, but unfortunately i don’t really plan on spending over 200 dollars on one game XD

The game should be 59.99 if I’m not mistaken. In regards to the stick, well… you can use it for other games as well… you don’t have to only use it for SFIV.
Just in case you didn’t know. :lovin:
someone grab a screwdrivers and take a look at the insides!!
don’t forget pictures
I’m buying a PS3 TE stick and a 360 regular stick. I can’t fu$king wait. Really.
i was just wondering… if i buy a TE stick for the PS3, would there be any way for me to use it on a PS2? it’d be awesome to be able to play my other fighters with it too…
if not, i think i’m gonna build a custom.

Only option would be to do a dual PCB mod or just replace the PCB. 2nd options allows you to make some of your money back by selling the PCB.
Dear god I know shit about arcade sticks… :shake:
So I took a look at the non-TE stick for the X-Box, and it looks almost exactly the same as my EX2 except with two extra buttons, and a jazzed up SF IV skin. Are there any other major technical differences that we know of at this point? Because right now I don’t see any reason to purchase something like that which is targeted at more casual gamers and is at a higher price than my EX2 unless there’s some sort of significant gap in quality.
The TE is out of my price range, obviously.
I just want to say big thanks to Markman and the rest of the Madcatz peeps for showing up at Busby’s to preview the sticks. I was really lucky I live in the area so I was able to check it out. Unfortunately I only have iPhone pics. :shake:
Let me just say that I was on the fence as far as purchasing these sticks as I already have my TMO, HRAP3 and my lowly FS3…BUT (and I like big buts, I cannot lie) after playing on these Madcatz sticks, I am hooked!! I have to get one of these bad boys as soon as they come out. These were according to Markman, close to production, but not quite, as in the plastic will be slightly different (probably something thats a little more dense and/or weighty, I was fine with what was there). They feel very solid and very well made. At one point, they opened the stick up to tighten the ball top (unfortunately I did not get a shot) and I got a good look at the quick disconnects and wiring, very clean, looks very easy to work with if you ever wanted to change the buttons. Some notable things I noticed and/or Markman shared with me–if I’m wrong he will correct me I’m sure, and unfortunately I am not as learned as some of our more experienced members, but here goes:
- lots of space to rest your hands
- headphone jack for the xbox guys right in front, none for ps3 thanks to bluetooth
- compartment in back for storing the cable
- lock switch so you won’t accidently turn on turbo or even the home button while playing
- top panel removable via allen wrench
- you can also access the buttons via removing the bottom panel (I’m not 100% percent sure about this but I believe that is what I heard)
As far as the controllers:
- unfortunately, I didn’t get to play with them as everyone was loving the joysticks
- lightweight
- ergonomically sound and have a cool rubbery back thats easy to grip
- feels like the saturn d-pad
- shoulder triggers like mouse buttons, like saturn pad
Crappy iPhone pics with lowlight:
Again thanks to Markman for letting SRK know about the shindig and for bringing the sticks, it was a pleasure meeting you and the rest of the Madcatz staff who came with you.
If you guys have any questions, I will try to answer them as best I can. :lovin:
What version of SF4 was playing? lol
Oh, and here is a stick question. I’m sure its been answered, but is the artwork changeable? I went back and saw it on wish lists but never found the definitive answer
