I own one and my friends always complain about static, choppy mic sound, dropped sound (gaps), echoes etc, whenever I use the stick and mic - they say it’s particularly bad for when I try to mash and talk at the same time. I wouldn’t know whether this is a common problem, but judging from several reports like the post above, I’d say it’s pretty indicative of a build problem on the sticks.

I can’t be bothered to appease them and replace the stick as even finding a crappy EX2 stick in the UK was hard enough. I’m hoping that if the Madcatz T.E reaches these shores, the mic jack will be of far superior quality and placement.

Any other new pics of the non TE? Really would like to see a lot better quality of the size difference between the two. Love the TE, but not sure I will like the width for my style of play.

/looks at the extra JLF and 30 some odd damn buttons I have just sitting here waiting to be used.

Thanks UndeadEwok & Monkey Meets Tiger.

I’m sure it’s just the sticks then, plus I have not got much complaints, it seems the static is barely loud enough to make the mic icon stay on. It’s not like some people that you have to mute once they get in a room. LOL, but people do hear me smashing the buttons since the mic is always on.

I’ll just get another official mic or something soon, that has the mute button, that seems like the best answer, I usually like to have mics on mute 'n just listen until I’m ready to talk anyhow.

Thanx for the quick response, I was concerned because when I called the Gamestop last Friday to see if they had sticks, it was the only stick they had. The box had a little dent in it, so I was hoping it wasn’t a used/returned stick that I payed $50 for that had issues. It seems it’s fine though.

Oh, and I plan on getting atleast the $80 SFIV stick, so hopefully it doesn’t have this slight malfunction too. Any info on that MarkMan?

Thanx again guys.

Perhaps it will be a new faceplate with each game? Can we expect a stick like this for T6 and KOF12 with faceplates available separately?

You know people who work at GameStop don’t know shit!

On a real note, I’ll get you the real deal (I’m off today) tomorrow.

…fucking associates with their stories… j/k

Plunked down my fifty today.

Now I wait - only two and a half months to go.

Did markman write a write up on the capcom blogs yet. He said he might do it soon. I was wondering if it was released yet and if the info was good. I cant log on to the capcom sight at work.

No. Nothing until January.

Are they wired? My friend is freaking out about them because he wants to use it on pc and I keep telling him they will be, but he wants an offical answer.

Everything for the 360 is wired. Only the PS3 pads are wireless.

Is this a SFIV stick? or did hey just changed the plate? Anyway Shadaloo Kings artwork looks badass

The only thing that will be wireless are the pads on the PS3, the pads for the 360 and all of the sticks for both consoles will be wired.

Thats the non-TE FightStick, lot’s of fun for the whole family.

I think that’s one of the old prototypes. The buttons arc differently on the final design.

A dutch SF player sent Madcatz an email about an international release. The answer he got was positive.

The only shady thing is that they previously said that the TE version (with sanwa parts) will be made in very little quantities, and available to purchase only by preordering it before…

Fulaani, can you ask the adress to the player who wrote that email in order to PM it

Thanks

the adress of the madcatz rep you mean? It’s there in the quote.

And yea, the TE was supposed to be crazy limited (retarded), so I’m still not very optimistic.

does the ps3 fightpad come with a usb cable to connect to pc? or is the x360 fightpad the only fightpad that is compatible with pc?

also, if it is compatible…is it plug and play, or do u need drivers, like the sixaxis stick?

If anyone cares, NCSX put up the HRAP3 SA (Sanwa) stick preorders up.

$190

Also I can confirm that all controllers will be sold in Europe. But I don’t know how/when they will be available for purchase/order.

That is up to them.

Fulaani: Mail sent, I well explained the problem with the preordering for the TE stick, I’ll let your know if I got an answer  (I encourage any Euro to do the same…)

PS3 FightPad comes with a wireless USB dongle. You don’t need any drivers.
