*goes into laboratory and runs test & experiments to come up with a good PS3-360 converter.

Decent case, all sanwa parts, warrantied by major manufacturer and oh yeah, BEING SOLD IN THE AVERAGE AMERICAN STORE? That adds up to 150 bucks
(Which isn’t a big deal if you’re not american, but I’d guess a plurality if not an outright vast majority of it’s owners are going to be.)

I saw this in the converter thread
PS1/2 to XBox360
XFPS 3.0 Sniper Plus ~ $90 +Shipping
http://www.totalconsole.com/servlet/…-sniper/Detail
Pros : Lagless (stupid_nerd, Markman) unless PCB is digital only (Markman).
Cons : Expensive
But yeah, I realize that is actually PS1/2 to 360. I guess I don’t know all the work that would make it different from PS3, but it would still be useful regardless. I just hope it doesn’t end up costing $90 or more.
Sanwa Customs cost about $175 or more so $150 isn’t really that much at all.

You forgot interchangeable art =)
Thats one of the features that people are waiting to hear about. If the answer is “Well you unscrew the top piece and unsnap the buttons then put your art in” well then its about as customizable as every other stick out there. Which is not a selling point.
I don’t suppose anyone knows, Markman? If they will be releasing this internationally? I mean SFIV will be released internationally why not the joystick, I reckon there would be a few buyers down in Australia… I know for a fact theres 5 guys in my office who want one.
Same thing here in France… And in a lot of other countries… Open your eyes people from Madcatz’ marketing…
Yeah, you guys gotta release these sticks in Australia.

… and same in Britain. By coincidence, I was just speaking to two buds who were looking for a decent stick to play ST HD on. Hori FS are scarce here.
If Madcaz don’t want to do “official” international releases (ie, sold in international stores, UK, France, Australia, etc) - then what about allowing internet orders from their website that ship internationally? Between now and mid February Madcatz could put in the online infrustructure to make this a real possibility. The disadvantage though would be the import custom duties if your country has one - but like I said previously, I’m sure international fighting game fans who are serious about hardware would be prepared to stomach the cost in order to get one of these T.E sticks.

In the last few pages MarkMan did say that there were NOT going to be additional faceplates at this time so I am curious how the promised interchangeable art is going to work. You are right though, taking the entire stick apart and placing your own art in there is not a feature, its disassembling at your own risk a $150 joystick.

I was calling my ebgames about SFIV preorders, and basically was asking about the joysticks. He said that ‘a joystick’ was being packaged with the street fighter IV LE, which joystick he didn’t know, but I’ve also heard word from another employee at EB GAMES say the same thing.
These are lap sticks, right? Even if they aren’t, I’m still preordering one soon. TO GAMESTOP I GO!

While I realize that pages and pages ago, this was a selling point, but it feels so fucking irrelevant, why bother? Pretty sticks are pretty, but I’ve seen a lot of useless but pretty sticks. Gimme one that works WELL first.

Agreed.
And thank you Markman and s-kill!!!

If this is true, I will probably switch my preorder to the normal edition. I dont need a $20 joystick when I’m buying a $150 one. I was hoping for an artbook and soundtrack or something.
man it would be sweet tits if the 150 came with SFIV… but thats a fools dream i suppose! if they cant justify the 150 price i might switch to get 2 of the $80’s one for ps3 and 360 for tournys

Well that’s definitely interesting. I didn’t hear any of this when I pre-ordered the LE from gamestop, so heads up on that. I wonder though with the LE being what…$20 more than the standard?..how quality of a product could that packaged stick be. I would prefer the artbook and/or soundtrack like Dookeh suggested if the stick is gonna be a $20 stick.
A little off the topic of the SFIV sticks.
A question for anyone here who has the Hori EX 2 for 360:
Do you have issues with the mic icon always staying on, like producing a very slight static, just enough to keep the icon on? Someone online told me it happens with some sticks. I got it from Gamestop Friday, and am using a generic headset I always use on the regular 360 pad, I can’t put it on mute - cuz there’s no button for it on this headset.
Just wondering, cuz if people do start complaining about the static getting louder or something I’d rather return it while I still can.
So, someone, anyone, help me out real quick please.
Thanx in advance.
my GF had the same issue with hers. she swaped it for the same stick to see if its was a defect in that stick. same thing happend again… so she just bought another headset… sorry its not too helpfull of advice but we were in the same boat.
