I dont know, being as tho Im new to the SF scene, havent played heavily since Super Nintendo, so I have no clue about the terminology for combos or nothing. I pre-ordered in DC up Henchinger Mall. About to pre-order a PS3 TE stick in a minute. In SF IV, I plan on using Ken and Fei Long.

Yea the template would be awesome so I could get my custom artwork done and ready for when it gets here!

Still no interior pics of the regular, non TE stick?

If you noticed they ship to like 5 countries or so… This is not exactly what I’ d call shipping to Europe.
I am still waiting for a bigger retailer like amazon.co.uk, game.co.uk etc. to confirm that they will have all those sticks, both standard and TE versions so that I will be 100% sure that I’ ll have at least one of each as soon as they get released.

Um, showing the inside if the TE stick is not showing the inside of the non-TE stick.

I thought I read someone that the normal Fighstick will have quick disconnects in it, anyone know if that is true?

Markman:

Seems like Amazon’s preorders have filled up already and I still want two of the X-Box 360 version TEs. Would I be best off reserving from a local Gamestop?

i wanna see some pics of the inside of the reg stick. I’m Getting a AIAB soon, so i really have no need for the TE stick, but it would be nice to pick up the reg, and mod it down the road.

What type of buttons and stick is used in the regular FightStick? The first post says the TE has the Sanwa parts, so that’s why it costs more. The buttons/stick in the Regular edition pictures look the same to me. Though, articles I’ve read say the regular FightSticks use “Competition” parts… I don’t know what that means exactly.

Are the regular FightSticks not as sturdy, will their buttons/stick be more apt to break sooner than their TE counterparts?

Detailed FightPad impressions from Ars Technica:

I never expected the d-pad/analog stick switch would show up on the pad - pretty cool regardless.

From my understanding from reading the thread, they are just made by Madcatz.

from what i hear modding the button in the fightstick is just as easy as modding them in the tournament stick, but what about stick part’s?

This. Fucking A i was going to place my preorder today too.

Cool, thanks for the reply. Is the FightStick’s stick made by MadKatz?

I got one quest but no one seems to talk about it and I have asked this many time.
Is the cheaper model stick going to be as easy to swap out parts as the TE edition is? and if possible can we get inside shot of the cheaper model stick pls?

The guys in this video say that the only difference is that the cheaper one doesn’t have the same stick and buttons. They even say it’s just as easy to swap parts. If true it should be cheaper to get the low end model and swap your own parts in. But alas they don’t actually show the inside… ether way even if it’s not “hot swappable” it should still be easy to put whatever you want in there.

I would even be happy if the regular Fightstick is as mod friendly as the T5

Hello, first time I post here, but I read almost the wole thread. I’m glad to join the SRK community.
I really want to thank Madcatz and markman for these sweeties. Never thought I would buy madcatz again before that (since my Nintendo 64 accessories issues).
Markman, we really see that you are passionated when you talk about this project, it really is a good point for me. I have some questions, maybe some were already answered.

About the regular fight stick

The idea to add fighter combo cards is really great for fans/otaku/geeks like me, make you feel playing arcade at home. But, I’ve seen that some characters were missing comparing to the arcade list, is there one or two cards ? http://i41.tinypic.com/14jlyfa.jpg]Sega-style

If you had to choose between the reg one and a basic Hori Real Arcade Pro (the price gap isn’t so wide), which one would you pick ?

Can the art be replaced ?

What about the interior ? Is it the same PCB and cables arrangements quality as the TE stick ?

About the Tournament edition stick

There were rumors about connecting two TE side by side to get something like the real SFIV vewlix arcade http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/9549/img2549dd9.jpg (a feature that can make me buy 2 TE instead of one), what about this feature ?

Will madcatz bring some stickers/faceplate/arts to replace the one it comes with ?

The packaging is really awesome ! (especially when showed in your unboxing video) Madcatz really did a great job on this. But, seems a little empty to me. Will it comes with fighters cards just like for the regular fightstick ? Can we expect some more bonus content ? When you buy the TE stick, is there something to protect the cool packaging ? (I mean if it’s boxed).

About the pads

Have you tried the fightpads ? How good are they comparing to a sega saturn usb controller ? Did you participated on the building project ?

The artwork on pads is just sticker or is it actually printed ?

I heard about a wireless controller for ps3, can you confirm that ? Is it lag free ?

About the availability

Cuz everyone is getting scared about the stocks, can you tell us more about that ?

Madcatz really intend to make more than 3000 if all the stock is gone ?

Is Europe (and not only UK) finally getting these for sure ? What about France ?

All infos you can provide are welcomed, thanks again for the efforts and time you spend for the community.

For those who want to print the full fighters combo cards, you can get it here : http://www.capcom.co.jp/sf4/download.html (Installed Command List 1 & 2)
and here for the full command list (japanese) : http://www.capcom.co.jp/sf4/command/index5.html#

:coffee: Patiently waiting for UK pre-orders to open

lol same thing… I went to an actual store. Unfortunately I couldn’t even go to the one by my house because the assholes there never do anything right, always say there out of stock of everything, and never know when they will get stuff. Like I went to buy super mario galaxy during the first few weeks and they had no clue when they were getting it and barely knew what it was, meanwhile every other store had it including non-gamestops. One guy got arrested for mooning a bunch of kids…

Yea, so I went to the best gamestop I knew and even they were clueless on this. The had no idea that there was a TE, couldn’t even find it in the computer at first. Then, they couldn’t even find the separate PS3 and 360 versions in the computer (at least the guy was smart enough to ask me if there were different versions). I kept asking to make sure it was the TE and he was like “$140?” so I knew I was okay. He said he never thought anyone “would spend that much on a fightstick” so of course I had to explain what it was…

I think I’m going to take your idea and go pay it off, it’ll give me an excuse to confirm my preorder and ask about midnight release.

Anyone else having trouble watching this vid I can’t seem to get on the site
