Maybe it is all a bad joke and they are just teasing us with all the art they had to redo. Then when the game actually debut’s, it will be all bad ass art we haven’t seen yet.
To be honest, I won’t mind playing the game if it ends up being ugly, as long as the netcode gets sorted out.
im agree strongly with you DSP. sure im gonna buy it myself but everyone is much more hyped about sf4 than a remixed old game it needs to drop NOW.
i havent really been paying attention to the changes and whats going on in the balance of SFHD so i appologize the ignorance if this is answered before , but …are the stored supers still in ? (honda , ochio and super … and chuns super ?)
Can’t they just release the game and fix the netcode via patches? I’m sure it’ll cost more money, but delaying it surely can’t be much better. Doesn’t really matter, SFIV is the truth.
Can’t be stated enough: the netcode must be good, especially for those in remote locations (e.g. outside mainland usa) and for international play to be possible. Netcode first, everything else is secondary imo.
“Hey, let’s release a buggy game now, but promise that we’ll fix it later. I highly doubt that we’ll be severely criticized by players and the media for shipping an incomplete game and will no way affect future sales of the game. Also, releasing updates shouldn’t be a problem since Microsoft’s patch certification process is instantaneous, right? I mean, the patch delay for the SFHD beta was a fluke, right? RIGHT?! Why are you looking at me that way?”
If it’s THAT incomplete after all this time, then that’s just retarded. Besides having a shitty netcode and criticism from everyone didn’t stop them from releasing hyper fighter.
Because you know what the common gamer will and will not buy? Are you fucking serious? Quit comparing a retail game to a downloadable title. One is $50-$60 and the other is $10-$20. They’re so different (beyond actual game content) and have virtually no effect on what the other sells no matter the release date of either.
It wasn’t Backbone that made/released Hyper Fighting…
While some of the blame certainly falls on Capcom for allowing such a shitty project to be released (in SFII’HF), most of the blame falls to Sensory Sweep or whoever the fuck it was that did the actual developing/porting.
Please stop whining everyone. David K. Sireline is trying his fucking hardest to make like 150 nerds happy.
And yes, who HAS done this much? This man is a machine, he is completely amazing in every facet and his game design skills are unmatched. Instead of whining about the artwork or whining about DP juggles, why not use this thread to worship the greatest game designer of all time, David Sireline.
Who the hell is David Sireline? :chat: Perhaps you meant David Sirlin? He’s a steak aficionado who has done much for the beef and cattle industry, trying his fucking hardest to make like 150 steak lovers happy. This man is a machine, completely amazing in every facet, AND, his cow herding skills are unmatched. Even Daigo cant keep up with his god-like abilities.
You have to admit, this looks like a lose-lose situation. Release it now when it’s not done, or continue holding it back as fan interest is steadily deflating.
The thing is, my interest wouldn’t be deflating if we’d been kept up to date with the changes being made and if some of the changes I’d heard about didn’t sound retarded. I understand that Sirlin is very busy, but it takes a total of 20 minutes over the period of a week to write one of those blog entries.
