Hallelujah! Let us welcome another brother to the true religion!
Seriously, welcome to the team, if you’re willing to learn, plenty of people will play with you, we’re a pretty tight knit group.
EDIT: Okay… so for some reason I was looking at the Media section and saw this clip as to why this guy thinks SF4 sucks… http://shoryuken.com/media.php?do=details&mid=3483 I think other than the video about the guy’s cousin who literally just raged with every loss to the point I could only watch in 30 second increments to prevent myself from dying with laughter… this is arguably the funniest video rant against SF4 ever made…
Actually, shotos can throw with button that is not jab or short in SF2. I believe the bosses, Guile, Chun and Dhalsim only have strong and fierce throws. Blanka only has a fierce one. I’m not sure about the new characters, but I guess all of them have 4 throw buttons. If I ain’t mistaken, Fei has the potato sack toss with punches and the acrobatic football throw-in with kicks.
Edit: undeniably official throw names!

Street Fighter II: You are quick or you are dead.
What 7 hit combo can I do to get this damn achievement?
Dee-Jay:
Cross-up MK > cr. jab x 2 > machine gun upper (mash the punch buttons).

Easiest 7-hit combo in the game.
Definitely. The other ones mentioned require a wee bit of buffering, especially the Ryu one. That’s more advanced I’d say.
Your AV is killing me man:rofl:
…where did you ever think of that…
I think my FAQ has all of the seven hit combos in the game…except for all of Guile’s, but that would be because there are too many possibilities to list with him. Anyway…read the signature, read my FAQ, and try the combos in my FAQ on for size.
By the way, if you want to get good with specific characters, read the character specific threads and ask questions there. I realize that there’s about a year’s worth of reading material in each thread, but it’s still all very helpful stuff. Still, asking questions is good when you hit an impasse or just plain don’t understand something. Watching match videos and asking yourself why certain people play differently and make different decisions than you is also helpful. You can learn a lot from that, too. Use all of the information you gain from the above and play people both on your skill level and above it and you’ll learn quickly.
Hehe, glad you’re enjoying it. I don’t remember exactly. I’d been meaning to do a new AV for awhile and wanted to do something funny…and I decided to go with that.
Alternatively…
Cross-Up MK > cr. jab x 2 > RH up kicks
well that’s at least what i did lol
Anyone who wants to play HDR feel free to add me
I’m trying to get mean with Fei Long

If my math is right, and I’d like to think it is, that’s a 6-hit combo, not a 7.

Just do it on Honda and you can do 3x: c.:lp:
Damdai putting Thelo on blast. Very interesting.

Damdai not coming to Evo?!? Whoa, that feels unreal.

Easiest 7 hit? ST Sagat (Classic mode).
Crossup forward, punch/kick, cancel to fierce DP (yeah, Sagat’s fierce DP is a 5 hitter…).
You know, originally, I was going to say some negative stuff about that podcast, but I don’t think its the right thing to do… any press is good press and we’re going to keep playing the game we love…
Now Thelo, you have to shut Damdai up and make top 8 now…GoldenArch is right… he basically put you and Honda on blast…
Oh and I don’t know how (unless I just missed it) he forgot to mention DGV as a favorite to reach top 8… Choi, Valle, Plush, SnakeEyez, Afro… I mean those are all great choices, but I don’t know how that list doesn’t include DGV who basically has beat everybody not named John Choi and Afrolegends…
