Mixah I beat you to it, back a page man

oh damn. well, it doesn’t hurt to have it on two pages. lol

That shit is extremely annoying. Especially when all they do are air fireballs to get enough meter for the damn raging demon.

again… i just rush akumas DOWN!!! they dont know anything else… not even a uppercut…ROFLMFAO

pretty much. it’s bad when you can beat akuma with gief 5-0

I am, with my PSX Saturn pad – working 100% fine just like any other game I use it with.

Mixah, its all good, thread is on fire anyway stuff is easy missed, lol

Walking under shitty akuma player’s air fireballs is hilarious. Just walk up and throw all day.

I just realized something. With all these motion revisions, it’s gonna totally screw up some people playing sf4 when it comes out.

maybe at first yeah, but whatever
it’s a new game so just take it as learning all the moves over again

I have a question:

Watching some Valle vids, I came across a match against a japanese guile player. This match seemed mostly based on projectiles. Very few combos. I’m aware it was a big part of O.Sagat’s game, but it seemed a little…lacking in finesse, if you will?

I love this game, and it’s very, very tactical, but at high level, does it just break down to projectile wars? I don’t see how it would…but then I’ve seen so many matches in which it does.

Different game my dude.

O.Sagat doesn’t exist in this remember?

ST isn’t about combos really though. It;'s mostly about spacing/footsies and knowing your options. O.Sagat was a terror partly due to the insane control and pressure his Tiger Shots gave him.

Remixed Sagats Tiger Shots aren’t quite as good for this.

But, yes in ST, projectile control is a huge part of the game and can make it pretty boring at times.

But I personally like projectile control and it’s one of my main gripes with 3S.

maybe if you’re not big into fighters or something… but from personal experience, the only times I get messed up is in the middle of combos. my mvc2 cammy suffered from me learning ST cammy, because of hooligan stuff… eh, five minutes later, it was back. i dunno.

so has anyone shared this game on PS3? I have it and plan on sharing it with my brother so I can re-live our SNES battling days from two counties apart.

The heart of the question is whether I will be able to play my brother if I share the game with him or if there will be simultaneity problems.

Yea I never realized how bad I sucked with chars I never play with. I must of lost 30 times trying to win with Dhalsim. I was sucking huge cock with Balrog too. I got very lucky with my Zangief and Thawk wins though.

Yeah, I don’t like the uselessness of projectiles in 3s myself. Projectiles and their control of the playing thing is a + for me, too…I just don’t want them to entirely dominate the game. As long as vs a spamming projectile user when I’m using Guile/Akuma I can reliably mess him up without just out fireballing him, I’m good. If, however, at a certain level, he can just fireball me to death…maybe not.

And…why wouldn’t you just engage him in a FB war? Akuma is good at them. lol.

Tell me about it, I’m all trying to scream out to those keep-away Akuma players, ā€œGet yo ass over hereā€

It is true, this game really isn’t about combos since many combos are hard as hell to do here.

I had one of the weirdest matches, before I faced this Balrog player, when I picked Cammy it asked me what version of Super Street Fighter mode did I wanted to play on the character select screen and it had the SSF and ST logos to choose from?

Well, seeing as a pile of the buffs in HDR are all about improving against Fireballers, I think this version should have a *little less *FB dominance then ST, well except for Kuma, I forsee a whole lotta Kuma fb’ing in the near future.

That’s happened to me twice now, also…weird.
