So, do you think this match up will get even worse in HDR? I ask because nothing about Fei in this quote has changed(maybe his rekkas will be safer because of pushback?) and Bison’s options have only increased.

Try jumping back with LK instead of just up and down. Jump back keeps you in the air a tad longer and will beat Honda’s HB’s clean. (if your timing is decent to good)
I can’t wait to try Remix Blanka out.

None of the videos on that page are in HD. Even worse is that it’s off-screen, lol.
It would be so awesome if sometime down the line, via DLC or something, that they introduced the other SFII games for play with the HD art and Backbone netcode. Specifically, SFII’HF, and maybe even AE. They don’t have to be rebalanced or anything, just using the new art and netcode.
Re: Honda vs Blanka. From an HF perspective, I deal with the rolling bite by randomly throwing out jabs and mediums, occasionally letting them go into slaps while holding for headbutt/buttdrop. Blanka pretty much has to jump in when I’m doing this and it becomes an execution contest with most of the control being mine. Depending on the range blanka chooses I can stop the jump in with one of the three buttdrops or headbutts, or even a crouching jap or footsweep. That said, I often fail to cancel into sumo-splash and end up jumping backwards - blanka often follows while jumping forcing me to do a jab headbutt under duress with little time to charge. But if I’m on form, the match is mine.

The Jab Slaps weren’t nerfed in priority like the Fierce and Strong Slaps.
How is it that the (presumably) best US cammy and fei are disappointed with HDR versions of their characters. If they’ve proven themselves as “masters” of their respective characters, I find it puzzling that their input/lobbying did not have much weight in the end.
It just seems odd to me that if Ryu is supposed to be the most balanced character, and he gets a fake fireball upgrade, then anyone below him should also get some improved moves since the bar (ryu) has risen.
What was so threatening about fei that he had to get castrated (CW and the already slow flame kick)? Give him a trip guard for chrissakes!!!
It seems as if everyone improved a little. If that is so, the tier list doesn’t get changed at all. It would have been great if it lived up to its name and the tier list got "remixed’ (changed drastically) instead of sticking with the order of characters who we were already familiar with for 10 years.
Anyone got any ideas why Honda was not given a wiff animation on ochio when Hawks SPD got one. The intention there was to prevent Hawk from getting guaranteed damage of safe jump - negative edge SPD, right? Can not Honda do the exact same thing?
Someone mentioned it before but I completely agree on trip guard, if Fei is as bad as most people are saying then hopefully it will appear in the update.

I’m fine with the flame kick nerf, but I don’t get the chicken wing nerf. As I recall, the stated reason was to make Gief’s matchup against Fei easier, but I don’t think that’s really necessary now. I don’t think Fei’s non-cw changes really affect Gief that much except to make the matchup easier for him by making flame kick more punishable, and Gief’s changes to punch lariat, kick lariat, and hop will probably make the matchup a lot more even. I’m not sure Fei needed to lose the chicken wing trap against Zangief.
Eh, it’s not really the same thing. Honda can safe jump under fewer circumstances than Hawk can and Honda’s tick game isn’t as good as Hawk’s because he can’t usually tick himself out of his opponent’s throw range. Honda’s corner ochio trap was never inescapable, his opponent could always throw him out of it (and Honda could beat a throw attempt with a butt slam etc, but that lost to reversals, so, blah), but now there’s no trap at all because in HDR Honda always bounces away from his opponent after ochio, even when he has his opponent cornered. I don’t think Honda’s command grab really needed the kind of nerfs that Hawk’s got.
