bottom half of super really had no chance. while the top was more diverse, the bottom was much weaker in super.
also you could look at it like this. if you played low tier in AE, you maybe have 3-5 matches that feel hopeless. in super your character had 10+
Even if they buff everyone there are still going to be inferior characters with bad matchups. There is no way around it. Nerfing is easier. Nerf the stuff that annoys people and gets abused.
i played mid/low? tier in AE, and my match ups got worse, so…
edit, don’t get me wrong, i don’t mind tiers or bad match ups, however I do mind, when said character is nerfed. no matter tier placement or whatever. should have just buffed Makoto or whatever obscure character people where using.
yeah theres mixed cases. like playing a mid tier character who gets nerfed for no real reason. i dunno
all i do know is im bitching up a storm after we see fei’s nerfs tonight. 10:30. mark it down. im gonna tell everyone how fei should remain S tier, and everyone is a scrub for not learning the matchup

But I think Abel’s CoD should be slightly faster, it seems to go WAAAAY to sloweven if it’s Light version.

Wow man you’re crazy. Imo Abel was already borderline too good in Super, those changes would make him retarded. Ideally I’d like it if they put Abel back to his Super incarnation while keeping the nerf to roll recovery, since that change is really more about helping the characters he kills than characters he beats. I don’t care about u2, in Super it was already not as good as u1 in almost every matchup. It wasn’t anything like a get out of jail free card for most characters if the opponent knows what he’s doing.
I was just proposing those changes to keep the changes, and therefore the potential of screwing something up, to an absolute minimum. I’d also still prefer Honda to have a couple of the nerfs he got in AE (although not all of them), Cammy to have some slight changes, etc. But again, I’d rather deal with characters who I know how are really good but not too good than risk Capcom doing something stupid.
