I know the guile matchup is bad and the full projectile invul would be a great and fair butt but I couldn’t explain it as good as this. Thanx again.

How about tightening up the reversal window as an overall rebalanced mechanic?

Maybe not 1-frame but 2 OR 3 frame(at the most) reversals would be awesome, and would require stricter timing than a 5-frame reversal, but give breathing room that a 1-frame wouldn’t have.

The idea of Ultra’s doing less damage all around would be awesome as well. Maybe even a timed meter, ala K-Groove, but when the time runs out, you would still have 20% of the meter past the bar where it becomes active.

To the thread starter: Will you be merging all of people’s suggestion in the opening post? I think that would help as well.

I really like the idea of making the reversal window smaller. If done like you said I think it would work. And of course I think that Lowering Ultra damage across the board would be excellent.

As far as putting everything together in one post, it becomes difficult, since I have my own biased views but what I was thinking about doing is putting things in the first post that keep coming up through out the discussion. That way, it’s not just what I want or what someone I agree with wants but is more inclusive of the community as a whole.

I think I will do that. So far there seems to be some consensus about Lowing Ultra damage and Yun needing to be fixed (to what extent there is still some disagreement) so I will take those 2 things into account right now. I’ll keep my eye on the thread. I don’t log in as much as I used to but I still lurk nearly everyday so the thread won’t be forgotten. If an idea keeps coming up I’ll edit the main post.

They should fix ryu’s air tatsu such that he could escape from corner

Walk speeds need to be buffed across the board. Why most of the cast can’t control their own space is hilarious in a SF game. If you play a rushdown character you have to base your ground game on gutsy dashes instead of being able to actually space yourself unless you play certain characters.

Throws need to not be garbage also but I’m not holding my breath for buffed throws.

They need to fix hitboxes, hurtboxes and reelbacks first and foremost.

Viper:

  • Fix hitbox on c.mk
    I mean come on- the hitbox is placed on her shin but c.mk reaches as far as her foot. It should be placed on her foot.
  • Decrease Ultra 1 damage.
    It does a shitton of damage and in light of the general damage nerf across the board should’ve been nerfed too. Nerf it, but not significantly.

Viper doesn’t **need **or **deserve **anything else. She has… Burnkicks.

Also I’m seeing little Yang nerfs and even when I spot them they’re not that significant, whereas Yun gets the nerf bat shoved right up the ass. Not to start shit or anything but IMO that’s saying something about the fact that the issue lies more with Yun than Yang.

That is exactly it. Yang is ridiculously safe on stuff, and has crazy mixups, but Yun simply takes the BS to another level.

The fact that people can’t put forward significant Yang changes is indicative that he doesn’t need changes at all, not to mention he doesn’t have THAT much representation at this point in time.

That won’t do anything, he needs a slight damage reduction.

It makes complete sense, in fact, it doesn’t do enough damage, you don’t jump in on Sagat (or you never used to anyway).

I would like to see the Super characters meshed with AE before we go rushing into brainless panic changes. Surely that could be whipped up in a few weeks as a beta for some pro’s to try out.

I hope Capcom doesn’t listen to most of the things on this thread…some of you guys are going ridiculous with the nerfs for other characters and buffs for your characters…

Actually the reason people can’t put forth significant Yang changes is that Yun was so heavily dominate that despite everyone KNOWING Yang was very good, there isn’t as much experience watching or fighting him. Same reason you aren’t seeing many suggested changes for ERyu or Oni (buff OR nerf)

exactly…lol, almost every match had either a Yun or a Fei. I didn’t see a single cammy, yang or e.ryu all day

Blanka :

  • Rolling Attack safe on hit.

  • Buff normals, less recovery and certain with a start up more fast.

  • A real overhead.

  • Improve the Electricity, more damages and better hitbox, certain combos would not be characters specific.

  • Ex Upball make a KD.

  • Ultra 2 have a larger hitbox for the air version, and the ground version make more damages, because this ultra do ridiculous damages seriously.

With all of that, Blanka can be really better IMO.

**LP & EX FORWARD KASATUSHI - **Cover more distance. Using the EX version to get out of the corner just to land at their feet again sucks.

**CR.MK > LK FUHAJIN RELEASE > CR.MK > EX PINWHEEL - **Make it so it works on most of the cast at least. A punishment combo only working on like 40% of the cast is stupid.

**ULTRA 2 - **Better hitbox, no falling out of it if it connects.

**EX PINWHEEL - **More invincibility, not dragon punch invincibility but better than what it is now. Also make it so she cannot be thrown out of it on start up considering she IS in the air.

**FUHAJIN STORE - **Faster recovery for better zoning and corner pressure.

**HK DIVE KICK - **Safe on block if cancelled after first hit. Just like her LK and MK variants.

**NEUTRAL EX KASATUSHI - **Make it so she is invincible until she begins falling.

**FENG SHUI ENGINE - **Fix Bugs.

~ OTHER ~

**FADC - **Remove it from fully invincibility DP’s. There should not be a get out of jail free card for a get out of jail free card. It’s not like 2 bars is hard to come by.

**AUTO CORRECT - **Oh god please sort it out. When Chun Li tries to cross me up in an extremely obvious way I would like to be able to forward dash under her without the game auto correcting and making me back dash into her attack!

Auto-Correct should be removed in it’s entirety. If an opponent does something correctly on you the game shouldn’t correct your mistake.

This even works against you in some situations;

Guile vs Fuerte- guile is getting up from a knockdown. Fuerte attempts a tortilla, with intent to whiff it just barely in front of him. Guile guesses correctly and flash kicks. The game auto corrects and Guile flash kicks behind him. Fuerte proceeds to RSF Guile for free.

I have a video of this happening. I also saw a video with Mago and another high level player playing this match, one of them has it happen by accident and exploits it. The player repeats it and it happens again, costing Guile the match.

This only happens to guile, but I still think auto correct is stupid.

Also, if they’re issuing another patch … they really really really need to make setting music volume to zero actually mute the effin’ music!!
