it’s not unfair it just doesn’t really do anything for the things it’s supposed to address while making it better against characters she already beats (imo)

Thats just wrong, Sakura or Bison and even Cody at some point have to consider getting punished if they pressure her all the time without giving a flying fuck. Seth couldn’t do meatys, after headstomps anymore etc. Blanka and Honda are the only matchups were the range buff would give her a decent punish on random balls n butts since i can’t think of anything which I would punish with lk wheel because everything else wouldnt reach. If you really think a full invincible reversal wouldn’t change anything why don’t you give her a try. Play a few rounds against a decent Seth, Sakura or Bison and a Honda.

Close Fierce and crouching medium kick are all he needs, they have decent hitboxes and CANCEL into 50/50 rolls when they tag somebody, is that not good enough?

because of vortex characters and his badwake up game… the solution isn’t to buff his wake up or other random things, it’s to nerf vortex a little.

Nerf the top tiers and maybe buff some characters here and there, but on the whole why is everbody hungry for big changes?
The cake is already made and its nearly perfect, lets just remove a little decoration and maybe add a pinch of salt, no need to go ham and add another layer of butter and eggs and all that, you’ll just create more problems down the line once the game is flushed out which then will warrent ANOTHER update :shake:

About Ibuki buffs…I don’t think you change the trajectory of kunai. Mix ups on knockdown are a big part of her game. I like the other suggestions.

My main character has 22 frames of invincibility on a 5f DP for one bar that leads into 400 damage/700 stun with three. It’s a free OS safe jump when Juri is on the ground. Oh, Juri can EX Pinwheel my meaty now. Too bad Seth had meter and decided to use dat counter EX DP.
He can chain all of his normals and end them at 0, +1, +2, or +3 on block at long range.
His special is one of the few unique tools in the game and it will suck Juri right the fuck out of anything she tries short of blocking if he feels like spending the bars after pushing her back a safe distance.

It’s not wrong. All this invincibility doesn’t help Seth get away from Sakura if she knocks him down, for example.

Cody would have a hard time stuffing it actually but he could still trade in his favor. EX Zonk doesn’t have invincibility during its active frames and even though it has 16F of invincibility EX Senpusha has a bunch of active frames. It’s actually a bit of a gamble because there ARE some inactive frame spaces so it might stuff the move it might trade it is kind of random.

Frankly I think that a better change would be to change the damage distribution so she gets a bit more upfront damage that way when she does trade she is getting a better trade than 30 damage and makes EX Senpusha - FADC does a bit more damage too.

But if the sakura player does his tatsu frametraps mindlessly you can mostly dp the shit out of her right ? That’s cool because Juri can’t. Honestly for me, if I am knocked down the only 2 things I use is either a focus backdash or I block and sometimes I throw in a EX Counter but even this tool is useless against sakura because it armor breaks. Still if anyone gets in they can pressure Juri without too much problems and risks since she can’t reversal. I don’t even talk about knockdown situations but about situations where she can’t do anything except blocking like the Sim - Cammy matchup when Sim just reached the corner.
And EX Pinwheel now loses to all punch attacks and also to Codys weird kick where he is airborne and I guess to a ton of other attacks too.

Now that I think about it. The usual Seth players I played against online usually did SRK > FADC SRK or SRK > FADC > jab commandgrab or commandgrab.
If Juris EX wheel was invincible for 9 or 10 frames it would beat both options except EX DP but it’s a gamble. If she blocked the EX DP (he can’t fadc anymore) Seth would usually lose around 350 - 400 hp (fse) or even around 500 if the Juri player had Ultra 2 + 1 meter.

This is a forum, so yeah, we are having fun - but it’s not all to just kill time, there were a couple of serious hints that another update might be coming, so…we are compiling a list with sugestions. And yes, I think the list might be submited to capcom after it’s done.

Now, if you don’t want another patch - what are you doing here ? I’m sure there are other interesting threads around.

And about nerfing vortex - that was the main point - my idea was - if another patch his coming, let’s do it a little different this time - NO MORE NERFS. Stop nerfing the top and making all characters mediocre. Why not for a change of pace - BUFF the rest of the cast ? Wouldn’t this be more interesting ?
And to be sure capcom doesn’t throw random buffs that nobody wanted - we are compiling a list with sugestions. Yes, for now, it’s theoretical, but you never no. Plus, it’s fun - it’s a forum, afterall.

  • Yes, cl HP and cr MK have decent hitboxes - which doesn’t make for good AAs. Again, I see nothing wrong with making FS a little faster so it does it’s intended job a little better.
  • Second: you want vortex to be nerfed ? Are you sure ? Because last time I checked, Abel has also a nice little vortex game, and many would consider him to be a vortex character. Be carefull what you wish for…

His bnb does around 170 dmg. Main punish does 270 dmg with 1 bar.
His damage is far from great - I see no point why capcom would nerf his dmg so hard, that’s why I returned only a part of it. I also gave Adon some dmg.

Blanka can safeball vs. dash > lk wheel.

You also have to take into account his great focus attack, his chicken wing combos and such. Also Fei long isn’t about raw damage: he is pure footsies, hence why from my point of view, as a footsie character, his damage is fine. He still gets his burst of damage when his opponent does bad decisions are doesn’t space his moves well.

At least that’s how I see it

His three main punishes are cr. lp rekkas 170 damage, cl. hp rekkas 250 damage and cl. hp ex flame kick is 290 damage. For the corner push he gets that’s certainly not bad damage.

You were wondering if the current Fei was better than Super Fei in this or the Tier list thread and the answer is no. If you’d put the Fei from super in this game he’d be instantly number one.

The comboing to a chicken wing was a stupid option even then and only worked on low health female characters with a couple of exceptions. Those exceptions happen to be at an disadvantage even now against Fei.

It isn’t op tbh. its not like it has 20 billion frames of inv like seth’s srk or cammy’s which are rediculous.

Speaking of cammy, why is it that if she hits someone on the friggin shoulder with her dive kick and she can combo off of it while other characters who have a dive kick and hit that high can get punished? (Just venting a little.)

Has any juri tried the ex counter into ex senpusha trick? It works nicely for extra inv.

Buffs for Fei Long and Adon, what next? Akuma gets his escape tatsu and roundhouse loop back? Well, atleast it’s always fun to read those ridiculous requests.

Fei long and Adon can be left alone tbh. They do really well in tournaments and they are in the top a lot.

Yes, because giving Fei a couple of dmg is the equivalent of giving Akuma his escape tatsu and roundhouse loop back. Really smart, son.

Anyway, I explained a couple of times these buffs, so I won’t bother anymore. It seems people just see Fei’s buffs and go omg omg :nunchuck:without even reading what those buffs are, or what other characters are getting.

S tier characters don’t need any buffs*.*
