Really you want him to fight with a weapon you know how much broken that would be, but it would suit him only cowards like him and Bruce fight with weapons.

I’m liking the 200 dmg for Ken’s EX DP, this will be nice for anti-air. I don’t like the Ryu’s buffs, 10+ dmg on hadouken is a bit too much, it’s better than Sagat’s cmk tiger shot, it shouldn’t be.

ST HK is abusable against gief, just like anyone who gets hit by the second hit crouching, that change is just so you need to think twice when using it. Not like this:

Dealing with the sweep/c.mk with that walkspeed is enought for most characters, akuma doesn´t need hk being 0.
Akuma keeps getting nerfed because they keep nerfing anyone else anywhere near the top. It’s a vicious circle. D; The thing is he’ll probably still be up there. He’ll still beat Zangief, maybe Abel/Sagat will be a little harder. I hope he got something they didn’t mention in return, just because he’s fun to play!
Most of these improvements to characters like Dudley should’ve been given from super to AE though! I really like most of the changes up to now. Any ideas as to when all this ends? Will there be more changes today? Kinda excited ha!
Oh wow you have to block a single hit right? Please you do know after a blocked s.HK Akuma has to be careful because any follow up pokes can be grabbed.
I’ve played a ton of great Giefs including Vangief and you what? You can’t abuse s.HK against them. Why? Because you can get grabbed, larieted, or poked out of it if you abuse it. It is a slow poke that actually isn’t hard to react to. It has to be placed well. I destroy bad Akumas all the time when they abuse it and yes even with characters I don’t main. You just have to understand its weaknesses.
And BTW Akuma has been top tier in theory fighter but there are only a handful if players who can make him that great. He is one of the hardest characters to play in the game. We have been nerfed and nerfed and nerfed time and time again and we are getting tired of putting years into a character that just keeps getting weaker.
We’ve had our HK nerfed twice now.
We’ve had our flip throw nerfed
We’ve had our stun nerfed to hell.
We’ve had our escape tatsu nerfed
We’ve had our Shaku combos nerfed
We’ve had our palm nerfed
We’ve had our throw nerfed.
I can’t name many other characters who have nerfed as much as we have. We’ve lost combos, we have lost options, and we have gained nothing back. Up until now we have taken the good with the bad but now it is just getting old.
There is a significant difference between plus frames and 0 frame.
Part of the reason why standing roundhouse gets bad Akuma players killed is that you can have some success with the move but that success isn’t consistent/safe enough. A false belief develops that results in the overuse of the move.
The result that you get from a blocked standing roundhouse is a product of what you and your opponent both choose to do. Akuma isn’t actually in a guaranteed advantage position.
Of course I understand the weakness of the move, do you undertand the strenghts? And what happens if you backdash and gief whiffs the 360? The point is, akuma doesn´t need it to be 0 on block. And if it´s not that good why is the entire akuma community crying? You are not going to miss it right?
What is the concept of being top tier in theory? A character is top tier and that´s it. Let´s not get started with the tournament results / player behind thing again please.
Akuma has been competitive (he) in every version of SF4. Most of his nerfs don´t change that much, and don´t dare to list the demon flip throw and scape tatsu nerfs considering those things were beyond retarded and should never made it into the game.
Play an easier character then and stop wasting your time. The difficulty in utilising a character’s strengths has no place in balancing.
