beautiful… …and i am not just taking about your hands
d3v should be pleased. what is the case you are using?

Thank you. The case is one of Art’s Tek-Cases, a really innovative plexiglass case. Plenty of customizable options. Not sure 5 PCBs was one of the options, but hey, they’re in there.

And again, thank you for all the tech support. Definitely made getting everything wired and programmed easier. Now to make one for myself!

Just finished my sparky stick. Nowhere near as fancy as most on this thread, especially as it’s mainly stock, as order, pre-programmed :stuck_out_tongue:

Sparky Jr + Arc-Eyes in a modified MadCatz TE stick.

Had some difficulty when hooking it up to an external power source(had wired up a 9V+7805+Capacitor power source, I don’t have a Cthulhu board or anything yet) where it was producing some random patterns. Hooking it up to the native USB power fixed it up(I now only have an LED below the joystick that still uses that battery power).

Even though I wasn’t able to externally power it, I hooked it up to a hub, hooked up an extra SE on the second port of that hub, plugged the hub into my 360 and activated every light at the same time while smashing buttons on the SE. Never drew more power than the 360 could provide.

I had never soldered surface mounted components before and certainly hadn’t dealt with tiny SMT LEDs. Sadly, I ended up burning out a couple colors on a couple LEDs. However, it lent itself to sort of a pretty nifty effect in the end. The half-color cyan sorta looks spiffy. I have since acquired more RGB LEDs, but probably won’t bother changing them any time soon.

32Teeth and gummowned both were really awesome in terms of help(when I ran across that issue with the random behavior on external power as well as when getting the appropriate resisters).

I’m a strictly solder-by-numbers guy yet managed to get this to work. That should say something

The art on the stick is a Tron remix of Chun-Li from BossLogic on DeviantArt(http://bosslogic.deviantart.com/gallery/11411486#/d3605he). I lifted the Chun-Li from the pic and just quickly made up a background in Photoshop that would cover a whole template.

A cheap and handy source of solid core wire that was nicely color coded is standard CAT5 cable(I just used cable from a spoiled cable end I had). Though you’ll have to pretend orange is red

Apologies for the crappy photography.

congrats on finishing your project! it came out just fine, thanks for sharing

oh man i got some of those goodies on the way really soon  putting some extra nice touches to them

stilling fooling with the code on her but i will be ordering 3 boards within the week 32teeth. again, thanks for the opportunity on working with you sir

Can you submit multiple names?

how many different buttons can these support? can you do 16? 20?

1 sparky supports up to 8 channels

im sorry, im too much of a noob for that to be an actual answer to my question. but ill rephrase: how many buttons are supported per channel? and can 2 sparkys be used in tandem?

Its an 8 channel board… one button per channel… you can use as many sparkys as you want in tandem… =D

Checked the site and saw that they were out of stock. when are we going to see more of these beauties in stock?

darn, i waited too long to make my order…T_T

yes i am planing on using a pwm and an og sparky jr for my setup…

wow sold out again already…i smell 2011 TT Accessory of the Year!

Here are some names I came up with:

Catalyst
Ignition
Cold Fusion
Fusion
Ember

i like Fusion…but it would need something else. Cold Fusion sounds cool too but it still needs something…idk

I like Fusion because it hints at a coming together of things to form something new. This makes me think of the process of ideas coming together. I also like Spark because it conveys an exciting, violent, flash of brilliance. (and brilliance itself could be a double meaning for actually dealing with light as well as the genius behind it)

I want to say something like FusionSpark or SparkFuse but it sounds too long… :wgrin:

they are back in stock… …actually, they where never in stock, i was abroad, and asked a friend to change some setting in the FTP. it was supposed to say on vacation.

anyway, they are there now.

ordering when i get back from Xanadu games. thanks again 32teeth for opportunity. These boards are great. I couldn’t break it. I tried. lol

Good stuff. I’ve got to plan another project for myself with one of these boards. I’m debating on a seimitsu based project or the ultimate happ/iLl based project. Haven’t seen too many RGB happ projects (besided purp’s table), so I may lean to that. But who knows…
