ok lets see if anyone here can help my dilemma.

I wanted to get “Beats” for the PSP, so I made account, downloaded PC playstation Store. Bought game, now when it comes to download it… I need to plug in my psp to the USB and hit “retry” it doesn’t work. I check and they say you need a psp on firmware 3.7 or higher. Now Im running 3.40oe-a so I know where my problem is but Im not gonna update past 3.40oe cause everything (mods, irshell, themes etc etc) just work. So Im in the middle of a work around and thats where someone here may be able to help.

Upon looking @ the file (.xpd file) that starts the download process I am welcomed to the real location of the PSP game…

So right now im in the middle of directly downloading the .pkg file which is the game itself, my dilemma is finding out if there is a way to execute that file when I get it. From the info I gathered so far a .pkg file is like the old .pbp file format (used to execute old demos…homebrew, etc). So im not sure the next step I should take when this file is done because im not sure if .pkg is a file that can run under 3.7+ firmware.

You do have another, slightly more expensive but far more beneficial option, as long as you’re runing on XP. If you were to pick up a secondary battery, you could use your HBE PSP to make a Pandora’s Battery out of your origional one. That way you could flash back to 1.5, install 3.71, play the game you want to play, then when you’re finished with it, flash back to 1.5 and install CFW again. Yes it would be hassle, but it would mean you could actually play the game while there’s no imidiate solution.

Actually you can make PB’s that act as both a battery and PB, although you would have to look into that as I haven’t done so my self…

I only ask because I recently put my 512 pro duo in my ps3 and it showed my psp directories. Now I’m just wondering if I put my new 4 gig pro duo in will my custom firmware recognise it and re-create all the directories associated with it.

No problem at all. Just backup all data from the 512MB MS in your PC, and asas soon as you have the 4GB MS, format it from your PSP with Custom Firmware and it will create all the directories automatically. From there you just have to overwrite.

For Patapon Lovers: It will be released in America in 2008. I don’t know what do you see in the game, guess I will have to give it a shot. BTW, I found this very funny: [media=youtube]7xewh1eTku8[/media].

PSP FW 3.80 is slated to release December 18th in Japan, obviously later here in the States, and will include DVR (Japanese-only) and Internet Radio functionality.

i traded in assassins creed and i just got silent hill origins last night. spent an hour or two playing it and its seriously pretty good.

it plays pretty much like the other ones but i think the controls are more intuitive which is nice since its a little different from teh ps2 controllers. the graphics are insanely good.:looney:

No, some guy used a hex editor to edit the prx so it had PE2’s code inside. In the process they pretty much stumbled on a code that works with PE2! Now you can play it on 3.40-OE using 3.11 pops…

Edit: Oh, missread your question. I think so, but I’m not entirely sure. I do remember hearing something about that though…

The Darth Vader is ugly. I strongly recommend importing a Japanese Ceramic White PSP.

The system to make the eboots is still using popstation, so you should wait until the next batch of converting programs is out, unless you don’t have problem in typing long command lines to create the eboots.

It works both in Slim and Classic models.

cheh, the damn Battlefront psp is still all I see here. I’m surprised some folks actually want to get it. I’m getting tired of its very existence. Daxter pack is simply non-existent here, apparently. It’s best for me to not make any nice purchases for awhile though, due to my current apartment being an unsafe piece of shit lately. I can’t wait to get out of here. (*srk lounge thread folks already know the story)

For go FFT. Disgaea is good, but isn’t as compelling as FFT. Also the story sucks ass comapred to FFT. But I’d say go for Jeanne d’arc for a FUN srpg.

Depends on ep size. I’d say you could probably fit all 23 eps on there, but you would have around 100mb free space left.
