I want Jeanne d’Arc on my Vita. Its not even in the PSP store. :profound sadness:
Im the same way Unreallystic. If I die anywhere on the first level, even at the boss, I just start that shit over. I turned on some Pantera on my PS3, put on my headphones and started playing that shit. I almost got to 30 million then I got distracted and paused that shit and walked off. I didnt get back to it till about 3 hours later, when I actually noticed my score. But I was like, fuck that, im going to bed and I turned that shit off. Boosting through everything gets you mad points.
I hardly EVER boost except o nthe chainsaw boss…though once I figured him out, I hardly do it there. I’ll toy around with it this weekend. I want to get the kryptonite meteor again.
FYI - the chainsaw boss…you can shoot the blades away wit hthe freeze shots…just lay into the face with fire, switch to ice when blades get close…eventually he’ll stop, and then light up one more time.
There are meteors that drop over stars with numbers in them (instead of the normal circle that lets you know something is going to drop). Destroy all those meteors and the green bonus meteor will drop.
Just copped a Wi-Fi Vita, no memory stick, for $200 clean. Video wise, what kind of converter should I use? Also, does that workaround for the content manager still work? I’m looking into getting a 32gb stick, Unit 13, and Resistance. I’d like to get Dungeon Hunter Alliance, but there’s no way in hell that I’m paying full price. Also yet again, did the new firmware update cancel being able to erase the data off of used games?

I haven’t used video that much, but Vita’s accepted every mp4 video that I threw at it (I just downloaded 720p Youtube videos without converting). If you mean the CMA patch that disables the Internet check, yeah it still works. I can’t verify the last question.
Thanks, Tatio. Regarding my last question, this is what I was talking about: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/PS+Vita/PlayStation+Vita/feature.asp?c=38334
Shuma is a deceptive character. He seems kinda weak & useless, but in the right hands he can be just as aggressive as Wolverine!
The community just does not take him seriously enough.
Still playing PSP, so much untapped gaming goodness. Knights in the nightmare is a title i’m eying lately.
And ya know…emulation greatness.

Other than homebrew/emus/PS1, a lot of titles in my PSP library aren’t on the Vita store. So this is still the PSP thread even though Vita’s the hot new thing.
Yeah I need Sony to kick up the effort to get older PSP titles on the Vita and at a BETTER PRICE. I also want dem PSOne games…might actually try Final Fantasy 8 again…
I really want to know the reason why Dragon’s Crown now needs what another year to release it. 2013??? Really? Was it in that bad of shape or something?

The uk prices are pretty much where our prices need to be.
Vita’s current capabilities couldn’t handle the sorceress.
So her tits are dlc now?
My boy comes by the other day and I show him my Vita.
Me: Fam, check it out hands him the box
Da Fam: Looks at the box, then hands it back Sorry, fam. I can’t open it. Apparently, it says that I need to be connected to the internet.
Shit had me dying! Now after spending a little bit of time with this bad boy, I’ve a few thoughts:
-
Battery life - I thought this thing was supposed to get upwards of five hours, but I’m barely breaking four. This is with just listening to my music, wi-fi off, and the brightness at mid-level. Wasn’t there some kind of extender that was supposed to come out?
-
Web browser - This is ten times better than the PSP’s browser, but there still isn’t any Flash or HTML support. Sony needs to get on the ball and get this shit rectified. It’s not like they can’t do it.
-
Content Manager - This is okay, I guess. I’d prefer the old way, but oh well. Having to be connected to the internet just to transfer shit between your PC and Vita is ridiculous, but luckily, OpenCMA was a Godsend.
-
A. Games - I knocked out Welcome Park’s trophies, then I downloaded some demos. Unit 13 was the shit, so I bought the game. Dynasty Warriors was fun as well, though that duel shit with the touch got a little annoying after a while. I like Dungeon Hunter: Alliance, and already have it for the PS3, but I refuse to pay $40 for a $15 game. The most I’d pay is $20. That Montezuma Blitz game was okay until I learned that you’d have to buy crystals and lives to continously play. I downloaded MotorStorm RC free recently. so I’ve been enjoying that as well. The pricing for games like Dungeon Hunter, Lumines, etc. need to be the same as they were on the PSN, or at the most, $5 bucks more for the physical copy. I haven’t tried the cross play thing yet, but it seems like it would be fun. I also wonder, why was Uncharted $10 more? Shit didn’t make any sense. The way Sony tried to play cats who get used Vita games was fucked up, but luckily there’s a workaround for that.
-
B. PsOne/PSP Support - I found it pretty fucked up that Sony’s been bullshitting and lying with this. The cold part is that the games that people really wanted to use with the Vita (Resistance Retribution, Phantasy Star Portable 1 and 2, MGS PeaceWalker, etc.) were pulled off of the PSN fast as hell. Fuck what everyone else has to say, I love backwards compatibility, and this is the perfect system to use for it. I wish Sony could’ve come up with some other way to cater to the PSPers with UMD’s, but I understand that it would’ve been too much chaos.
-
Music, Videos, Photos - I like how the Vita pulls up all the videos you have on your PS3 and PC, as well as letting you know when the video you select isn’t compatible with the system. Saves a lot of time and hassle. I messed with the camera a couple of weeks ago and found it to be okay. My dumb ass didn’t find out that I could record video unitl a couple of days ago while messing around with it, lol. Music wise, I have to figure out how to create playlists. Other than that, the shit’s pretty good.
-
Accessories - I had a gift card as well as some extra change piling up, so I went to the CoinStar and turned my change into Amazon credit, and copped the 32gb memory stick. Just getting that bullshit out of the way. Those cards should not be priced that damn high, PERIOD. Other than that, I read about and picked up the Hori screen protector, which works really well. Lastly, I picked up the MadCatz Armor Shell. I’m not too fond of whole cases, plus I have my PSP with a shell that my boy gave me.
Do I regret getting my Vita? Not really, seeing as I didn’t pay full price and got it when at about 2 weeks of use. I do plan to get Resistance, probably on day one and I’m still looking forward to Dragon’s Crown, which is one of the main reasons I wanted a Vita in the first place. I like my system, but it seems like Sony is so paranoid about it getting hacked (which it probably will anyway), that they’re pulling all of this bullshit. IMO, they’re just accelerating the process. If they’d take care of numbers 2 and 4 above, cut the bs of the content manager, and lower the prices of the memory sticks, they’d sell a lot more systems.
Lol ordered.
What’s that book behind your Vita?
You’ll like it, plenty of protection. Book is the preorder art book for Xenoblade Chronicles.
Nice, looks interesting.
Yeah, it looks solid and will save me some pocket space. That + a screen cover seems like more than enough protection – no more clunky cloth covers and what-have-you
I finally got around to getting a Vita. Some guy off Craigslist gave me a $100 GameStop gift card for my copy of FFIX and Guide. I also traded in my 3DS and games (I havne’t turned the thing on in like seven months). They’re also giving out a free game (from a limited selection) and carrying case right now with the purchase of a Vita. So I got Wipeout and immediately traded it in towards Uncharted. All in all I didn’t have to pay a penny for it and ended up with $5 store credit. So far I really like the system itself, though for some reason I can’t seem to get connected to the PS Store right now. I hate the way that “free” month of AT&T data plan and PSN game is setup, though… so damn shady.
I picked up some game called Disgaea 3 today. I dont usually play games like this (strategy type games) but lately Ive been enjoying them. The game is pretty dope and pretty silly.
