Ebay sellers usually overcharge for shipping. Shipping down here with a small box for the PSP (I think the Go box is already quite small) from the US costs about $20 (reference from when Stu sold me a DS Lite), while Ebay can be more expensive, and everyone charges at least $40 to ship it down here. Besides, I trust fellow SRKers more, even though I’ve been ripped through here once or twice (but not console related, mind you).
Drop some information about that downgrade in my PM box(and a little about modding them)…
I’ve been on the fence about buying one since it wasn’t possible to downgrade the firmware(PSP Go, I like how small it is)…

Did you want a m2 card? I picked up a 16GB one off of amazon for $17, but shipping to me took a week because they put it in standard mail.
I’d prefer the white, but beggars can’t be choosers. Could use the M2 card, but let’s check how the hunt goes, and we can arrange stuff during the weekend.
Yeah just get the m2 later, because I checked the price and it is $25. Not expensive, but price goes up and down and it wouldn’t cost much to ship that separately later like a letter. $0.50 stamp.

I just got back from there, they had one Black one left. The guy said it is rare for them to even have one, he said the only reason he had one is a customer came in and ordered one and they received two. The customer liked the first one he looked at and bought it.
The employee opened it for me and I inspected it. It had some shitty ass screen protector on it, that I’m sure gamestop put on it. It looked in good condition, but not great. The employee tried to tell me it looked brand new, and being the dick I am, I told him no it doesn’t. I told him I have a black one that is shiny, this thing is dull. It has “void” stickers over the screws, and also had a 5/19 written in ink on the serial # which is underneath the top part, no big deal.
I take care of all my shit, so I’m more anal about the appearance of it. It is $110 which is a good price IMO, and comes with all the cords which are not the same as the regular PSP, in case you didn’t know.
Seriously, just check out e-bay. Plenty of nice condition units going around, color of your choice, and at decent prices. Don’t settle for some piece of crap at a gamestop or whatever.
As for shipping costs, just talk to the sellers and inquire darnit. It may not be so bad.
In other news, it looks like firmware 6.38 can be successfully downgraded. So a lot more units out there can now be made to take CFW.

I had said that before :(. Depending on the model of your system, you can go back to 6.20 or 6.35. You can find the files you might need on wololo.net and its forums. Will check fleabay for some options, thanks!

Damn…Tekken 6 on psp is a VERY respectable port. Namco outdid themselves.
I’ve noticed that the tutorial doesn’t say anything about going to 6.20 OFW first. Can I just do what it says to do with the 5.00 m33-6 CFW, or do I have to find a way to change to 6.20 OFW and then use the tutorial from there?

Before doing anything, you have to update the firmware to 6.20 OFW first. After you’ve done so, then follow the rest of the guide for the actual Pro-B5 installation.
Was pretty easy to do for my PSP Go. I specifically started off with 5.70 OFW, i upgraded to 6.20 OFW, then followed the guide’s instructions for installing 6.20 Pro-B5.
Quick and simple 
You have to let me know how well it works. I’m weary about MSs on ebay or Amazon, as I got stuck with a 512MB MSPD from HK that was advertised as 2GB.
