I will believe in god if I can get JJBA on my phat. If DDP works, there might be a prayer. crosses fingers

Is Wipeout Pulse not the shit on PSP this year?

And what will happen if I try to play CPS3 on my PSP-1000?

I sold my PSP-2000 this afternoon at Gamestop. Surprisingly, they still give you $100 for it. If any of you plan to get the PSP-3000 when it drops sometime in November, I recommend selling the PSP-2000 ASAP before the price goes down.

awwww. shit. i brought yggdra union but it needs firmware 3.95 so i went ahead and upgrade and it wiped out my cfw.

I think one of these comes up on the screen: :shake:

Heh. Everyone heard about FW 5.00 having been released to developers, and that the update lets you connect to PSN and load text-based RSS feeds?

Why didn’t you just update your CFW to 4.01?

Also, I decided I’m going to return my 4gb Memory Stick Duo card I bought last week and buy this instead:

http://www.rejoy.se/microsdhc-dual-adapter-for-psp-psp-slim-p-1715.html

Then I’m going to buy 2 8gb Micro SD cards for it, and have 16GB on my PSP.

You can also buy 2 16gb Micro SD cards and have 32gb on your PSP.

Fuck yeah. Micro SD are cheaper than Memory Stick Duo. Also, it’s proven to work on PSP.

iwst99: But how good is the speed of MicroSD compared to the MSPD?

orka: Things take some time to devaluate here, so I’ll wait to see which methods will become available to use CFW on PSP3000. I think that Sony has become so paranoid with the Pandora issue, that they forgot about the ā€œold schoolā€ approach to downgrades (exploits from certain games, like GTA:LCS and Lumines). I think that we’re going back to that with the PSP Brite model.

JubeiNinja69: You know, you can always go back to CFW; You could have just updated to 4.01M33 to ensure compatibility, I did that and I’m playing Yggdra Union without problems.

What do you guys think about yggdra union ?
It’s okay I’m just getting into it…I’m just disappoint about the fact that there is no animation like in the trailer.

I believe MicroSD is slower, which you could only use on the old CR device, but with the new CR5400 device you can use MicroSDHC, which I believe is a comparable speed.

Edit: I just google’d it and people that have tried it say the speeds are pretty much identical. (with MicroSDHC, not MicroSD).

Loved the character design, but I eventually found the gameplay tedious and monotone, and even more considering that you have to be nearly a future seer to guess which items will be required of you in cities to trade for others without looking at a FAQ. I’m right after the battle with both Houses of Rose, but I don’t think I’ll finish it.

iwst99: I’ll be looking forward to a review of the adapter from you. If it’s good, I might get one for me =).

yes if it ends up being good, I’ll be willing to get dat double16gb setup

Ok, so anyone has heard about those PC-Engine compilations for PSP that, IIRC, Hudson Soft has been releasing in Japan? A while ago it was discovered that this game were actually the originals running on an internally-developed PCE Emulator for PSP which is on each of the games, and a way to get only the emulator part of the games has already been isolated so you can play ANY PCE game on your PSP with a flawless emulator. If anyone is interested, LMK and I’ll help with the guidelines, as the only have I have quick access to are in Spanish and I’m too lazy to translate them if no one’s gonna read them. I would have been interested if Dracula X: Rondo of Blood hadn’t been already ported to PSP.

Oh, there’s a few PCE-CD games I can think of running besides Rondo of Blood.

press the square button on the title screen, that’s the only animation you’ll get in this game.

Which ones?

While PCE-CD had cool platformers and RPGs like Valis III and IV (it’s like Castlevania, but with schoolgirls and Lord of the Rings-like fantasy) and Ys series, the CD library was all about old-school shooters, the same way Neogeo catered to fighters. The best, must-play shooters are Gate of Thunder and and Lords of Thunder. There’s other good stuff like Rayxanber II, Spriggan, Sapphire (crazy graphics on this one), Parodia, Nexar… too many to list.

I DARE you.

I remember playing a Valis game on SNES, and that’s it. There wasn’t much access here to ā€œalternativeā€ consoles, so I never had too much chances to know about it besides the ā€œholy grailā€ that was Rondo of Blood around here. But now that I know that, I’ll give a try to the console library. Give me a bit of time and I’ll translate the tutorial for all of you. While I do that, for starters, I’ll give you the recipe to get delicious PCE-CD games.

You need:

  • PC Engine Best Collection Ginga Ojousama Densetsu Collection game or image
  • PCE-CD or Turbografx CD games (original/images; must be games with separated audio tracks, at least by now)

And these programs which you can get from http://cid-046724d6a2e92a12.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/Scene|_PSP/PCENGINE :

  • EAC PSP Edition
  • PCE Conv Tools
  • TurboRip
  • PPF-o-Matic
  • UMDGen

Start getting your PCE-CD games ready…

Does anyone one know which cfw is skype compatible with?
