Monster Hunter ***Freedom ***3…

so yeah, I just payed someone to mod my newest psp slim…shit…did everything, game me a DVD of roms/emulators/etc…and even gave me FFVII and Silent Hill games.

it’s hot…yeah, it wasn’t free, but it was sooooooooo convenient. I’m playing everything!!!agh!!!

thankyou so much. finally one that works!

How much did you pay him?

$15. He had a slew of PSP/PSX/NES/SNES etc. whatever I wanted for that much

ehhh, if he was a really good friend then he sorta ripped you off =P

In the long run it’s better for you to learn all of this stuff. I even walked Dios through how to downgrade his slim via AIM. If Dios can do it, anybody can. so serious…

oh, no, I don’t know the guy.

it’s not about learning myself, it’s about not having the resources. I’ve modded my PSP before…

but now, with the slim and the fact I have Vista…when I tried before it was not possible and I fucked up the PSP so that it couldn’t get modded…

it’s worth it for no hassle

; . ; ?

Does anyone have a reliable link to purchase a replacement faceplate for a Phat? My current has too many knicks and scratches to the point of major annoyance, and the bottom part of it is starting to split in half (over the screen, too). I’m needing to replace this as soon as possible. Any links?

nah dude thats a hella good deal for what he’s getting in return. Cost me 10 bucks for my own battery + my own labor and 10-15 bucks is exactly what I’d charge. My time is worth a lot more than that. I used to do this for free for my friends, and they’d tell their friends and suddenly I’m this awesome guy who can get their systems modded for free games. Nah man I learned that lesson a LONG time ago. People will take advantage of you and it becomes distracting to your life and you realize that not only you are enabling these things but you also gotta act as technical support for it too cause who else are they going to run to when they have a question/problem? I rose the price on those suckers (but not a lot, like around 5 bucks like you said) and I haven’t seen those jerks since.

this is where I got my battery, they’re legit and awesome

I was just pointing out that if it was his really good friend, then it would have been overpriced, cause as you know downgrading is EASY.

As you said, for your good friends you do it for free =P I can definitely understand the charging for random strangers though.

Where can I get a download of the Sony Release Official PSP Theme Creator, without having to try and find it Japan’s playstation website?

Sup every one I have an old school psp that I have at 1.50 firmware so I can play homebrew. I just want to know how I can keep my homebrew and still be able to play all the current games and get all the cool features. Is there a guide some where that I can use to accomplish this?

for PSP fats, you can do a hybrid custom firmware that has 1.50 as well as the newest fw to load homebrew with. when i came back to the scene I got a slim so I don’t know much about launching the pandora utility on a non-custom firmware, but I assume if you can, then you can change the battery to a pandora one, make your magic memory stick and its all easy from there.

You might want to try www.psp-hacks.com or www.pspmod.com for some guides.

Cool thanks ill check those out but just one question, what is it that I should look for exactly? Thats the only problem im having right now. I see all these other guides for downgrading and all this but since mine is already 1.50 all I want to do is be able to emulate the latest firmware so I can run the newer games and get all the features that the newer firmwares provide.

EDIT: Ok I was digging around on pspmod and I came across this custom firmware (cfw-3.52-m33). Is that what im looking for? Will that let me play my nes, snes etc and be able to play tekken dr or metal gear port ops etc? Or is there a newer one that I should use?

thats the ultimate guide of all guides when you’re coming from a 1.5. Once you get to 3.52 M33, skip the steps following and go straight to upgrading to a 3.90 M33-3, going to 3.71 M33 is dangerous as theres a flaw that cant be corrected by a unbricker.

Cool thanks a lot I hope everything goes smoothly then.

To whom ever can help: I got my phat up to 3.90 m33-3 and now I want to figure out how to get my emulators to work again. I saw this 1.50 kernal addon but the instructions seem to be a little vague to me.
Ok I get the renaming the ofw 1.50 to 150.pbp and put that into mp_root directory but what I dont get is the last step, the one after extracting the files from the addons rar and putting that stuff into a folder called update. It says to put that update folder into a game380 folder but what im not sure is where am I supposed to put that folder. If I am missing something it would be great if someone can direct me a little. I fear that I might not be able to play my emus anymore after doing this crap lol.

Might as well bump this cuz im almost done but still having problems and this shit is starting to piss me off a bit lol. I cant get the fucking 150 kernal add-on to work. I put the renamed ofw 150.pbp file into my mp_root directory(did i do it right? do you have to make another folder or just put 150.pbp in the mp_root as is?) and I also extracted the files of the kernal add-on into the update file i had to create and put it in the game380 folder. I go to the game list on my memory stick and see the 1.50 kernal add-on as an exec file, but when I try to do the patcher it gives me this bullshit about “incorrect or inexistant 1.50pbp at root”. So uh yeah wtf is going on? what did I not do correctly?

lol, you don’t put the 150.PBP into the MP_ROOT directory just because it says to put it in the root of your memory stick. Root of your memory stick means the main card where you see every folder. For instance, mine is J:, so it would go into J:\150.PBP.
