Rasheed started at center in Detroit. There’s no reason he couldn’t start at center again while Kevin started at PF.
But at this point, Perkins is the younger player and gave them 8-8 last year with 2 blocks.
As everyone knows, you only need about 4 real options as starters and the 5th guy is a role player. Having 5 guys that can score… well… Memphis is going to learn the hard way.

Sheed was never a true center. The only reason he played center was because he was a little taller than Ben. Sheed and KG are the same height, and both can shoot outside. Every player like that plays PF and not C. Dirk, Tim Duncan, KG, Sheed, Bosh, Boozer etc…the only exception I can think of is Yao. However Yao is so tall he has to be a center.
Lakers will not go 82-0 I can assure you that.
P.S I just remember Spencer Hawes is another big dude that can shoot and does play C. However his team is so short if he doesn’t play C who will?

denver/portland today, should be fun to watch
Jason Thompson.
EDIT: Portland got this on lock, no worries. (I’m worried.)
imo.
Tradez all over hte place in each of the bassaball leagues.
I was wondering about that Pierce trade, but you guys seem down with it. So it’s all good.
Only when trades are really stupid or if a GM involved emails me will I veto them.
Go Scola and OKAFORRRR. WOOOO.
I can’t lose to clint. I CAN’T. I have ot ruin his season.
the lakers will go 81-1. the only loss they will get is from the magic when they play them in l.a
I need to read that Doneghy book, god I need to read it.

Sheed didn’t play center when Ben was there. Sheed became a full time center when Ben left.
And as of now, Sheed is the backup to Perkins at center anyway.
As far as bigs that shoot and don’t play power forward? Mehmet Okur also comes to mind. This is a different NBA, centers that shoot are a huge weapon. Even Garnett played some center when they did rotations with Big Baby and Leon Powe. Duncan currently goes to center when they play him with Bonner and McDyess.
Even if this team goes 82-1, I still wouldn’t put it as the greatest team of all time.
Ill take the 01-02 Lakers anyday. and not to mention the 98 bulls.

Wow he actually taller than i thought. I figure he was 6’8, but he actually 6’11. I can see that, but it would be a little weird having a 7 feet guy play PF. Tim Duncan is an exception, because when he came into the league he had David Robinson.
You’re right about Mehmet Okur.
As for KG and Duncan their natural position are PF. When they go to the HOF they are going to be inducted as PF.
Anyways the original argument was why Boston doesn’t start Sheed at C.
Personally I don’t see Sheed ever doing what a C is suppose to do. That good enough to not start him at C. If you look at how he plays to how Kendrick plays, you can see that Kendrick is more of the C prototype than Sheed.
 You couldn’t have waited 1 more day to push trades through?
LOL you should have offered the trade tomorrow then.
I almost wasn’t gonna accept it because I am now in the same situation as you were before the trade, lacking a shooting guard.
I try to check the league everyday, and when I see trades that aren’t tarded, they go through immediately.
Your trading whims have lost you a game played. BEWARE.
I should get half of the stats Kenyon Martin put up tonight rounded up.
I’ll happily transfer to you his turnovers and missed free throws.

Duncan was a center when he played at Wake Forest. The only reason he was a PF in the NBA was because David Robinson was already cemented at that position.
Duncan came into the league when big men that could shoot was becoming a hot commodity. But make no mistake… he’s a natural center.
i joined a fantasy basketball league to see what it is all about, i think my success yesterday was an aberration.
danilo galinari 7 3s
marc gasol 21 and 15

how well did brandon jennings play in preseason. is he going to be the starting point for the bucks or no? should i trade him?
Jennings will start, but Skiles has a hard-on for Ridnour because they are both white and they are/were both shitty point guards.
imo.
Scott Skiles had 30 assists in a game once. There aren’t too many shitty point guards that can do that.
