yea, well beasley got benched for his poor shot selection and his poor defense last year didn’t he? I believe geo when he says beasley has gain 10 pounds to get stronger on the boards. he looks bigger from what i’ve seen but he has to show me he wants to play defense before I will give him props. or maybe it’s just me hating on the heat.:xeye:

Derrick Rose shot 2% better than Beasley did and Beasley is a much more effective threat from long-range. My point is Derrick Rose is way over-hyped and Beasley seems to be getting shit on for no real reason.

Beasley is one of those guys that you just pray breaks out this year.
I mean I’ve been expecting this from Dorell Wright for so many years now, and it just hasn’t happened.

And for the record, Beasley doesn’t jack shots. His problem was that he didn’t shoot enough.
He had a basic game, he faced up from around 15 feet and shot a mid range shot, or he drove around the defender for a layup. That’s it. He didn’t start consistently taking 3p shots until later in the season. This is why he barely got any rebounds, he was hardly ever close to the basket.
He didn’t let the game come to him.
Later in the season Spoelstra told Beasley to be more aggressive on offense coming off the bench.
Other than this, he really didn’t do anything wrong in his rookie season. He’s going to be more aggressive this year on both sides of the floor. He’s the unquestioned 2nd option on the team as a starter.
Derrick Rose’s skillset so far most compares to Tony Parker.
Michael Beasley’s skillset so far most compares to Chris Bosh.
Now if you’re asking me which one of those players I’d rather build a team around then I have to go with the guy who’s the next Chris Bosh.

I just had to poke fun about Beasly, I just had to throw Derrick Rose into the mix.

I remember offseason 2008/9 when I couldn’t tell Beasly and Rose apart.
Derrick Rose should surpass Parker’s stats and skillset when he hits his prime. Parker is more of a combo guard that benefits a lot from the elite team he’s played for his whole career. I always thought TP was just a cut above Devin Harris.
