This thread is mostly about Fantasy, fans of one-foot-in-the-Finals teams making “get hype!!” posts all season, and fans of one-foot-in-the-lottery teams sulking. Every now and again you’ll see real team/player/league analysis and discussion.
Well what is there to talk about anymore? If you go back and look at the last few years of the NBA thread I think we cover just about everything. We can only now wait for new shit to happen within the NBA, then we talk about that. Once we are done with that it’s back to square one. So we just use fantasy talk as filler talk.
The whistle-happy replacement refs are something to talk about. Not like I miss the regular bullshit ass refs literally ruining games, but we’re on schedule for a fucked up season if the preseason is anything to go by.
I’m not mad at fantasy talk btw (I’d get into it myself but it sounds time-consuming).
If anything, the replacement refs are learning. They are relatively new, I suppose. Once they get the hang of things, I imagine things will go back to normal. But that could take a half a season. :looney:
As for fantasy, it can be time consuming but not to the point where it’ll interfere with anything. I’m into it b/c i love basketball, strategy, and stats! :china:
I made mention of that. They’re using refs from the WNBA, NBDL, and guys who were **fired from the NBA **for poor performance. It’s a disaster waiting to happen.

I’m perfectly fine with it. Last year I had a bunch of guys on my team I didn’t like. I force myself to root for mother fuckers that I didn’t care about. At least this year I get to root for players that I like to watch.
