Official NBA Thread 2k9-2k10 "Fantasy B-Ball & regular NBA talk"

thats not really fair at all.

Duncan/Lewis worth is more than Big Al/Mag.

Also, lol @ morph predicting Randolph may get anywhere close to averaging a block.

OH YOU!

Shinblanka, 2nd round, 27th pick.

Too high for me. No threes, FT% sucks. Low points. Too many negatives to be picked that early.

No offense lady, but what you don’t know could fill a warehouse.

Rondo is the secret weapon. He fills the stats sheet. Rebounds for a true pg are prolly the best in the nba. Steals, assists, FG%, rebounds are his plus while 3’s, ft%, PPG are his weakness. I think he was the best pick on the board at that time. I didn’t have a 1st round pick due to my crazy draft pick trading.:looney::sweat: It has been said rondo had the best off season out of all of the celtic’s players coming into the pre-season. I think his points are going to go up this year.

If you picked Rondo that early I don’t understand why you didn’t pick Josh Smith at all. Plus you already have Duncan.

Zach Randolph’s career high in blocks per game: 0.5 (2003-2004)

OH YOU!

Zach’s got a chance at 20/10 every season. No absolutely no numbers in any other categories. Probably won’t break 20 on Memphis, but Gasol/Thabeet aren’t going to eat into his PF minutes at all, so he’ll still probably still see 35 minutes a game and still put up like 18/10.

Kaman’s good for 1.5-2 blocks, which is great. But 11/8 is more in line with his career norm than 13/11 - the one year he exploded was when Brand was gone and they played him for 37 minutes a night. There is absolutely no way he’s going to get those types of minutes anymore.

I’d say injury risk is a wash though.

I think he’s talking about Anthony Randolph you guys. Lothar doesn’t have Z-bo who we all love. You know.

Last year Z-Bo was getting almost 2 threes a game.

That was hilarious EVERY time I saw it.

I’m thinking about joining Lothars dynasty league, or just making the Nellieball league we’ve dreamed up a couple of times.

But my idea of just having one fantasy team a year would be compromised. It’s always funner when you just have one more team because you love it and care for it.

Because josh smith’s fg% will be worst this year than last year if the coaching staff keep encouraging him to shoot 3 point shots and 18 ft jumpers! Josh smith ft’s are worst than rondo’s and he doesn’t give hardly any assist. Josh smith rb’s are only 2 above rondo’s. Rondo is 10X better the player than josh smith is in fantasy basketball. he is barely better than rondo in points. I watch the Hawks and I know josh smith goes on 2-10 on fg% and 9 points in a game for several games. To me Josh could be a great player, but he’s lazy imo.

Oh yea who has marvin williams? :wonder:

oh he didnt mean z-bo?

well nm then

also satomi, i dont understand how u dont get that trade isnt fair.

Me either, but I guess He and I both value our players a little too much.:xeye::chat:

Oh yea, and I Am Lothar has 3 of his starter on untouchable and then the other players he says don’t ask for them unless you can give him better players at the same position. You should have said “i’m not trading anyone on my team” and that would have been the same as that long crap you wrote. That’s pretty much what I saw from your message in the trading blocks section. Nobody wants those players anyways. I only want 1 player on your team.

This is how I look at it:

Al Jefferson (when healthy) is one of the better fantasy performers. His numbers the last 2 seasons have been indicative of that. He’s been one of the few bigs in the league to average 20 and 10. Corey Maggette is a scorer and someone that’s capable of bringing you 15-20 points any given night as a starter or reserve. The major knock (among others) on these two is health. They’re definitely a gamble.

Duncan is an automatic double-double, but he’s 33 and it’s hard to tell whether or not Pop is going to limit his minutes to keep him fresh and injury-free in time for the playoffs. You could either get the typical Duncan season in terms of production, but he could also start declining.

Lewis has been pretty healthy since joining Orlando and he’s capable of giving Orlando at least 15 points per game while knocking down 2-3 threes. He’s probably the only constant here. Jefferson and Maggette both have question marks surrounding their health and it’s only a matter of time before Duncan starts breaking down.

I don’t really think that trade offer is bad, but of course I’m going to be the one defending it. I’m just trying to give you my justification in proposing that trade.

It’s definitely not as bad as Shaq/Lewis for Big Al/Richard Jefferson.

So you’re mad at me for valuing Durant too much?

health is always an issue to consider in every trade you propose or that is proposed to you. people just hold it at different values.

so, depending on who you proposed it to, may say ‘who knows how Big Al is going to perform’ or ‘he’ll probably be injured before 2010’ or ‘HELL YEAH BIG AL, 20/10 SON BRING THAT BISH’

Anthony Randolph with playing time, which he will get because Wright is injured can easily reach 2 bpg and 1 spg, 18/8 to 18/10 sounds about right with solid percentages. Kaman has no upside, even more clogged playing time route, and is a huge injury risk.

Frye will be averaging at 10/5 with at least one three a game and a steal a game with good percentages.

Shin: Offering me Peja and Shaq for Amare. No thanks. I wouldn’t grab Rondo in the 2nd round, I will enjoy cheering for Josh Smith though.

VS: Let me know if you want to join, we draft this Sunday.

imo.

How many teams?

I am interested. Who all has joined? Is it people in here who post a lot?

I might just make the Nellieball league and just invite the people in this thread who are always active and have that as the second league. That league wouldn’t get weekly updates and shit though.

channing frye shoots 3s?

His role on the team is to get out of the lane to create space for Amare and Nash to work the pick and roll. Gentry said Frye could easily make 100 3’s this year. That is pretty valuable.

VLASH: We are at 12 teams as of today. Kim has joined and so has TheWholeFnShow. The rest are people I know from school or back home.

imo.

Alright Lothar, I’ll join, just because Marty is joining. Send me an invite.

Your asshole friends better not flake out as its a dynasty league.

PM me your e-mail.

imo.
