No love for Kevin Durant? Whatever he shall be my 1st pick.
Durant is arguably better than Granger… the stats are pretty much on par with each other.
Granger just beats Durant in shot blocking.
ok offers have been sent out. Also crazy is stupid! F U crazy for screwing everyone over this year in this league! With you pretty much giving your entire draft away for 1 good draft pick!!! You should be ban from fantasy league forever! Who trades away the entire draft for the #4 pick in the draft???:lame::xeye::lame: It wasn’t even the #1 pick!:lame: I’m normally against the league mod/manager stoping trades, but that was totally onesided trade. Oh well what’s done is done now.
I ask anyone this question.
Is the 4th pick in the draft worth the following?
your 1st round
your 2nd round
your 3rd round
So not only did you give up 3 picks for 1, but you gave him your 1st 3 picks. Oxford should win this years league imo with that great draft position. Oh well, forget it now. What’s done is done!:xeye:
I’d be more concerned but I don’t trust VSLASH’s skills at all, he’ll probably take Z-Bo, Q-Rich and Starbury in the first, second and third.
imo.
You guys are new comers to the ESPN fantasy league have no clue what the fuck you are in for.
I Am Lothar : Nah VS was fucking around during mock draft he will be serious when season start.
Shin: If VS wins that the BEST CAST SCENARIO! Why? B/C he rigged the draft SO HE COULD OF GOT THE 4th PICK. He even admitted to it. He just re-randomize the draft over and over until he had the 4th pick b/c 1st-3rd pick was guarantee to the top placers of last year. Let say he doesn’t get top 3 this year you want to guess who going to get the 4th overall pick for the 2010-2011 season? I’ll give you a guess. So what I AM DOING is getting my KEEPER ready b/c I know what is going to happen. Let say I get the 16th overall pick next year in the 2010-2011 draft. That would suck, but you know what? At least I have my KEEPER.
Y’all need to think a little more… seriously.
At least he doesn’t do a cool-breeze and take the 1st pick.
Next season the winner will pick last.
And I’m not at all worried about VSlash’s draft positions. He’ll mess up his draft picks then trade them all away during the course of the regular season. Just watch.
Then isn’t that even a better thing for me? Keep Kevin Durant and watch VS pick last w/o any big time star like Lebron/cp3/D-Wade? (Of course if he really goes through with it)
Maybe a good thing for you next year, but you will sure be racking up a lot of Kaman’s this season. You’ll be the Seattle Free Wins.
Throwing one season to marginally help yourself a year from now is pretty ridiculous.
imo.
Yes. Especially when the players are unpredictable. Some 1st rounders now won’t be in the 1st round next season. And someone will break out in the middle rounds and make a huge leap just like Durant did.
I play to win every season. No tanking for me.
It’s all good. See you guys at the draft tomorrow.
Let’s go Lakers!!!
It a long season with plenty of injuries and trades. I already stated that I’m not THROWING the season, I’m just taking a big investment into the future.
I offer the 1st-2nd-3rd pick to everyone above VS in overall picks. So don’t even say shit if you refuse the deal and he took it. He’ll you guys had better deals than him.
Kim : “Some 1st rounders now won’t be in the 1st round next season. And someone will break out in the middle rounds and make a huge leap just like Durant did.”
And you want to know who grab Durant in the 3rd round last year?
After the draft is over and people with over 10 draft picks drop their players to have an even 10, I’m letting Ckrazy have first dibs on two FAs of his choice waiver free.
I believe Kim may have 9 picks, or someone else does, they may go after Ckrazy and get their roster full.
Then I’ll open up Waivers normally.
I’m also heavily leaning toward two keepers. Yes the draft will be much shorter next year, but that is the whole point.
So make sure your first two picks are people you like.
Also if you make a mistake in the draft, like misclick someone or something. Be sure to tell me. I can pause the draft and attempt to fix it. This happened last year when the draft went crazy.
And nah, I didn’t rig the draft, I was going to, and right when I decided to just randomize it until kim got the first pick I ended up with the 4th. That’s how Geo got the 5th.
If I really wanted to rig the draft Clint would be last, which hilariously he was. That made it look even MORE suspicious.
3 - 4 keepers.
imo.
Anyone bothered trying 2k10 on PSP? Just curious.
Yes. And you better pull out a miracle like that one with your 51st pick in order to stand a chance this year.
I already got 10 picks.
The less number of keepers, the more trading will happen. 1 or maybe 2 is good.
So you sa you aren’t tanking this season, but why would you give away your top 3 picks just to beable to keep 1 player going into next year? :xeye: That sounds like a tank to me sir sorry.:lame: If I looked up tanking the season on wiki your face and srk tag name would be right there!:xeye: You have no other reason to do that trade unlss like you said in your own words:
If that ain’t a tank I don’t know what is sir.
Maybe I was thinking about THIS YEAR’S LEAGUE!:xeye: My bad yo. I didn’t want to tank a whole season just to keep 1 player for next year. I mean I know we are in a league with 16 teams. You are going to pick at the 4th spot and then between 64-70 picks are going to happen before you pick your 2nd player on your team.
With that in mind do you think there are more than 70-80 quality players in the nba?:xeye: So if you’re lucky you might pick up someone of steven jackson skill level your 2nd pick of the draft. Most likely the next option will be mostly bench players on winning teams. Oh well I guess I wasn’t think on your level.:xeye: Like I said, if that ain’t a tank I don’t know what is a tank. That’s a NO LIMIT TANK from Masta P you tanking so hard crazy!:lame:
Keepers are for lames anyways. This is why I hate keepers because people do stupid shit just to keep a player for next year. People do less trading in keeper league because they would rather lose the whole season with a star player than trade them away when they are hurt to make their team better. I vote for 0 keepers, but if we have to do a keeper it should be no more than 1 player. The draft next year would be useless if we kept anymore than 1 players because the top 16 players would be already auto gone out of the draft.
We should only keep 1 player. Anything more than that in a 16 team league is just too much.
Well at least he admitted he was going to rig the draft.
Better than being in denial.
Actually you’re not supposed to have a pick in the 1st round at all in that instance. Keeper league doesn’t mean you keep the player. It means you keep the player for a price. That price is usually the forfeiture of a pick that said player was drafted in the previous year.
For example let’s say you drafted Kevin Durant in the 3rd round last year in last year’s draft in a keeper league. In this year’s draft you’d be able to keep him but you wouldn’t have a 3rd round pick. You wouldn’t care though because he’s Kevin-frickin’-Durant. There’s no way you’d be able to get him in the 3rd this season if he was in the player pool so it’s definitely worth it to keep him for that price.
Usually there are “term limits” or a keeper tax where the draft pick gets higher and higher. You’re not really supposed to keep a guy forever. Then that’d be a dynasty league and that’s a story for another time.
This keeper league differs from many in that you can actually keep 1st round picks. That usually isn’t the case and I can see why. It basically gives a certain number of players control over guys what will most likely be elite for a number of years.
It’s a little unfair for someone to keep Chris Paul for years just because they lucked into the top pick in the draft. If you drafted him or Kevin Durant before they went off and then kept them that’s different. That’s great drafting foresight and should be rewarded for a season or two not many after that.
I don’t know that keeper leagues in fantasy basketball are the best thing (mainly because of the talent pool) but it’s not my call and I know the rules so I’ll go along with it. There must be a keeper cost though. You can’t have teams with 2 first round picks or duplicate picks of any round because it’s not fair to teams with no keepers at all and it probably won’t work for roster limits.
I wouldn’t have made the trade for Durant but I think the term tanking is a little strong. Elite players have an incredibly high value in fantasy basketball and enable you to build a quality team around them if you know what you’re doing. The trade has an eye toward the future but a good team can be built in the present.
