blatche actually negotiated his own contract, whih is pretty amazing. only person he had there was his lawyer. if he got overpaid, he’s a pretty smart guy.
i just think wizards realize what he’s worth. him, mcgee, wall are the future of that team.

I am for the trade if they don’t need to give up Turner,Jrue, or some picks. People on the one Sixers blog are so pro Iggy they don’t want to see him dealt for someone who they say only score a few more points a game and costs way more.
I hate “true” Sixers fans. They value Iggy like he is Dennis Johnson and John Starks combines or something. He is an 80 million dollar third option that can’t score 20 points a game. For someone that plays such “AMAZING” defense he didn’t even get one DPOY vote last year.
If the deal to get Melo is like Turner, Iggy, and some picks, I quit. Why would Melo even want to come here for that? Why would he even want to come here now? I guess he comes and we get Paul to sign in 2012? But Iggy and some expirings are like all we can offer. We can’t give up picks when our team is so shitty. And he won’t sign an extension when the team is going to be garbage for a couple years now.
The plan should be to give Turner and Jrue as much playing time as possible and get as many good young players as possible. Try to move Iggy for some assets and let Brand’s contract expire. Just clear space and acquire good young talent. It seems like management doesn’t want to truly rebuild.
Because I don’t want to read about Bynum’s knee problems again.
Trade Melo for Jrue, Turner and Iggy, then get Iverson to sign again.
