So I was on one of those Wikipedia benders that people always go through, first innocently looking up random obscure albums, and then I ended up on Kanye West’s page, and then started reading about how he would play basketball against random guys from the YMCA while recording My Beautiful Twisted Fantasy, and then I started reading the Wikipedia page for 21…

Am I interpreting these Wikipedia history entries correctly? It’s been there since October, and there have been like half a dozen unrelated revisions since. People just leave it up there…that is hilarious.
I’ve been trying to figure out this “tap” reference for the last half hour with no success. Is this a Magic: The Gathering reference or something? God, this is the greatest Wikipedia entry ever.
Tap is also known as tip.
Tap/Tip is basically when catch a shot off the rim and throw it in before you hit the ground or tipping it in when it’s still on the rim (depending of the rule of the home game, but some people allow you to tip it in when the ball is on the rim.) Me and my friends personally don’t do this, we only allow catching the ball after it bounce off the rim and putting it in, no offensive goal tending in our games, but I’ve played with people who have). The general rule is if the person has 1 to 13 points and gets tap/tip they go back to 0 points. If they have 0 points they go into negatives. If they have 14 to 20 points and gets tip/tap they go back to 13/14 points. I personally play 13, but heard some people do 14.

P.S Me and my friends also consider an airball a free tap/tip. If you throw up an airball you go back to 13 or 0 or negative just like a tap/tip.

Also the first person to score 3 points gets to MAKE the rule of the game.
For example if I am playing with 4 other friends. (Total of 5 people)
Guy A: scores a basket, and then hit his free throws giving him 3 points before anyone else he can make the rules even if we are playing on Guy B’s court.
So Guy A can say shit like
“air ball = tap/tip or air ball = no tap/tip.” Basically saying an air ball is has no punishment or the same punishment as a tap/tip.
“Prove it or lose it rule.” This rule is basically when you score 21 points you must “prove it” with a free throw. If you miss the free throw you go back to 13/14.
“Stick your brick rule” Basically if you miss a shot you have to guard the guy that gets the rebounding. This is a rule to prevent niggas who just try to cherry pick and never play defense.
"Rim tip allowed/ not allowed. This is like when I said earlier some games allow you to touch the ball when it’s still on the rim, and get an easy tip/tap, but with me and my friends we never do this. Tap/tips only occur once the ball is off the rim. The ball must be floating in the air!

Haha noone i know can jump high enough to get a tap off the rim. So we are forced to do it when the ball starts to fall. Sometimes i play with people who put you back to 0 with one handed taps regardless of your score. And 2 hands is just like how ckrazy plays. And when you get 21 you have to make a shot from 3. If u miss you go back to 13.

Carpet Lint’s shoot and bricks the ball off the back rim. While the ball is in the air VS jumps up and grab the ball in mid air and shoots in back in. VS has just successfully tap/tip Carpet Lint. So now Carpet Lint’s score is either in the negative, 0 or back to 13 depending on where he was originally at.
P.S On the way down VS lands on Lothar’s feet and tears his ACL and never ever walks again in his sad pathetic life.
P.S.S There is also double and triple taps/tips.
Example : Carpet Lint’s shoot and bricks the ball off the back rim. While the ball is in the air VS jumps up and grab the ball in mid air and shoots it, but he sucks too so he misses and hits the back of the rim. While the ball is in the air Lothar jumps up and catches it for a double tap/tip, but he sucks too so he misses it. Of course cKrAzY then jumps up and triple tap/tips all of Roadhouse sending Lothar, Lint, and VS back to 0. Actually he sends Lint to negative 1, because Lint was already at 0 due to his inept ability to put the ball into the basket. (Yes pun intended).
