If by “barely played anybody” you mean “haven’t played the Lakers, Celtics and Heat”, then yes. Otherwise, they’ve lost to the Mavericks (0-1) and Hornets (2-1) out of their quality opponents. They’ve beaten every other Western playoff team at least once. They’ve beaten Chicago (w/Noah, no Boozer), Atlanta, and Orlando (13-4 at the time).
Yeah, it’s been kind of cake in that there are three teams that they haven’t played yet (or should I say, three teams that haven’t played them? DUN DUN DUN). But it’s hard to argue that they could’ve done much better other. As opposed to the Lakers, who haven’t played the Celtics or Heat either, have a whopping 5 games against teams with +500 records (San Antonio has 11), and are 3.5 games behind them. Bottom line, if they stay healthy their chances have to be liked unless you want to hate.

This is all null anyway because Duncan has awakened. When Timmy is actually playing like Timmy, not many can beat the Spurs. He’s had like, 4 straight double doubles and is blocking damn near 4 shots per game.
With the Lakers losing tonight, Miami’s record is nearly identical but with one extra loss. Funny that Mike Wallace on ESPN says the Miami Heat are not yet an elite team despite this fact of having a similar record to the Lakers, as well as having the best defensive stats of any team.
I agree with whoever on ESPN said there’s no parity in the NBA this season. Yeah, Dallas stops streaks, but they do shit like this every year. They’ll never be this good in the playoffs.
I’m trying to mentally condition myself to totally ignore blogs talking about the Miami Heat, because its a joke and no one knows what they’re talking about.
This one person said their guards can’t shoot. Last I checked, Chalmers is shooting 38% from 3p, House 40% from 3p, and Arroyo 50% from 3p. This is all Miami really needs from the PG spot and they are all doing it very well, yet somehow they can’t shoot? Oh… okay.
But they are playing that thing called Defense better than before, they are no longer just having to outscore thier opponent to win. Still dont think they are good enough to beat a Lakers or even Spurs but a bit better than before .
And the Heat just need to improve them free throws, not there shooting and the Defense is the best in the league so ya.

Man, I knew I was right about how terrible that Orlando trade was for the Magic. Damn, they look terrible with no potential of being elite. Hope the trade saved them some sort of money or they had plans to make more moves by trade deadline.
Nah, Golden State actually beat us…Miami did not. That is a BIG Ass difference. Anyone with any type of basketball IQ and watched NBA games of these 2 teams would know that THAT warriors team was the ONLY team that could take us out that year. Best record in the league did not mean shit when it came to match-ups.

Way too early to be commenting on how bad the trade is. You can’t move that many pieces and expect quality results right away. I’m not saying that it will work out, just that its not going to show on the court until they’ve logged enough time together.
I think Richardson fits perfectly into Orlando’s system, Arenas I am unsure about.
