Yeah, you could even go a couple of years back too for more disappointments. But the difference between those teams and this one is we have finally gotten rid of the REAL fraud: Erica Dampier. Now nothing can hold us back.
I must admit Tyson is much better, but still I am not sold on the Mavs. I don’t believe in Caron Butler or Haywood. If Jason Terry has a bad shooting game it usually equal a loss for the Mavs. It seems like both Dirk + Terry has to be on their A game and Tyson plays good D for them to win. I don’t think they can do that 4 times out of 7 in a playoff series when teams have time to plot and scheme.
I like Lakers, Spurs, and Hornets over them so it doesn’t matter what seed they get I got them going out in the 2nd round. Hell I might pick Utah and OKC over them.

effective offense is catching alleys, your superstar PF can be easily guarded by a SF, and you have
professional choke artist Caron Butler on your team just to name a few obvious problems.

i honestly won’t be sold on the mavs until they win a championship. i still can’t believe they lost 4 straights games in the finals. shit just blows my mind the same way the lakers were up 3-1 but lost 3 straight against the suns that same year
like the mavs have the talent (imo) to go far in the playoffs and reach the finals. but yet somehow, they can’t. and as you can see, most of these losses are early first round exits which is unacceptable and inexcusable for a 50+ win team.
