The Lakers are going to be fine once they get their depth back in the front court and Gasol doesn’t have to play 45 minutes a night every night.
All I have to say is that the top of the western conference is just too damn good again… name any of these teams you want to play in the playoffs… Dallas? No thank you. San Antonio? No thank you. Utah? No thank you. LA? No thank you. Oh and there’s those teams that play on OKC and New Orleans too… damn the Western Conference is good…
I will say this though, I’m totally on the Roy Hibbert for MIP bandwagon and the Pacers… THE PACERS might be a playoff team again… That would mean a lot to Indiana to have the Pacers back in the post season conversation… And honestly, right now, in the east there’s only a couple teams playing better, Boston, Orlando, maybe Atlanta and Chicago, Miami will get its act together at some point even if that means Pat Riley coming to the bench…
So anyone willing to go crazy and say the Pacers have a shot at the Central Division Crown yet? Or is that just hopeless dreaming?
Phil has addressed the Front court depth situation but it won’t be solved till Bynum and Ratliff comes back.
Were already in luxury and at the minimum it would be $32,000 - $33,000 per week for a player then double that for the luxury, unless we can trade Sasha for somebody (Leon Powe, and Anthony Parker) Caracter is just going to have to put up productive minutes.
They do have a shot but, it will be tough to keep pace with Chicago. I think Milwaukee regressed this year. Getting Salmons back, signing Maggette and Gooden were bad moves.
Another way to look at your situation is that your team isn’t at the bottom of the conference anymore.
Now, now, don’t forget Salmons was the one that originally push them into the eastern playoff enchelon…
Lebron quiting on the central division makes that division anybody’s ball game. Chicago is still showing us signs of inconsistency that they had last season, in fact, all them teams there show signs of being great one night and potentially trash another night.
Dallas mavericks are the best team in the league. All other teams have to do some sort of trade by deadline to keep up with us. Championship season, here we come, "start it up, vroom, vroom!!!
Bucks will bounce back, Salmons is just going through a slump. The real issue we’re having is Bogut coming back more slowly than I hoped. Not like he’s ever had the ball a lot to begin with, but since coming back, it seems that he rarely touches the ball unless it’s a rebound (career average before this season was 10 fga per game, this season he’s at 7). Once Bogut gets back into it at 100%, I think things will be looking up.
That’s true, I hadn’t considered Boozer’s return to the Bulls… I think Bulls - Boozer are probably = Pacers but with Boozer once he gets back into the groove are the class of the division… I didn’t think about that…
So that makes tonight’s Orlando / Chicago game fun to watch… Jazz / Pacers I think is probably the second best game tonight… what games are you watching tonight?
And yes, improving your team from Bottom worse than Makoto tier to solid mid-tier is a huge step up
