Gasol has played like ass. That last play where hibbert laid it up was gasols fault. Losing to jazz is one thing, but to the pacers? And no they are not legit. They are an 8-7 team and a 8 seed in the east at best.

You’re overestimating the East. I think they possess a good young core of Hibbert/Granger/Collison, so I’d say they’re 6th seed by the start of the playoffs.

Gasol’s averaging 45 minutes in meaningless November games and even in garbage time. LAL dropped a scrubby-but-healthy center for somebody who’ll probably retire before the season’s up. Gasol just looks out of gas (no pun intended) in 4th quarters. LA has some serious depth problems at the 4 and 5 now that Powell and DJ are gone-- they weren’t very good but they were relief for the main guys.

Yeah, 45 mins is ridiculous. Lakers definitely need Bynum back just to soak up minutes for Gasol. He’s better at the PF position and there’s no legit backup C right now.
