Actually he was shooting 43% prior to his game last night, where he shot 10-14. That 43%, again, was the 2nd worst of his career.
Williams shouldn’t even be compared to Chris Paul.
Williams is 3rd in the whole league in turnovers. His A/TO ratio is 2.something… Paul’s is 4.something. Deron has never had a better A/TO ratio than CP3, btw.
In addition, Paul is a better shooter (kills Deron in FG%, 3p% and FT% basically every year) gets more rebounds, gets more steals, makes less mistakes… again, there is NO comparison, as much as Deron fans wish there were.
Paul is shooting almost 50% from 3p range and 48% from the floor. The guy can avg 22+ points right now if he wanted to, easily… as he’s done in the past. Deron is trying to avg over 20 ppg and failing, evident by his turnovers and elevator FG%.
