Depth move, quality for quantity. He got back four solid fantasy players for one super good one. (It’s just too bad that VSlash also traded away two solid fantasy players as well.)
Aldridge and West are very good fantasy players, both better than the second best player VSlash gave up. You could argue that all four guys he got were better than Bosh. That makes it a legitimate trade.
Or is it that I am so bad at trades myself that I cannot see the horror of his ways? I’ll never know.
Yeah, he’s no doubt the best performer on the Lakers. When watching the games and reading the box score all lead to the same conclusion, it’s a pretty safe bet it’s right. NO losing Paul would be bad, but I don’t think Phoenix losing Nash would be near the same league. Dragic and Hedo can handle the ball well enough to keep the team afloat.
MVP of the OKC Supersonics is Westbrook. In another 70 games, it’ll probably end up being Durant though.
Other than Kobe’s PPG, I don’t even think he’s the 2nd most valuable player on the team right now (that’ll change if that knee gets better). Although I think the whole point of that Dwyer article was to spite Kobe.
Kobe probably has the Randy Moss factor going on: when one player has diminished physical ability, but still has enough and their history of dominance is enough to scare teams to overcommitting which makes it easier for everyone else, including Pau.
To be fair to Kobe, he’s recognized his dimished physical ability and has made himself a better player in other aspects of the game. Randy’s too busy feeding his dogs food from Italian restaurants to better himself as a player.
You guys are fucking nuts. I would take Kobe over Gasol any day of the week.
Take Kobe off the team and try to see if Gasol can lead them. He can get better stats than Kobe, but the team will be in disarray when shit starts going south. Artest starts jacking up wild 3’s, people stop playing team ball and the team will just implode.
