Look at all the games this season that Darko has gotten 30+ minutes in. He basically averages 11 ppg, 3 bpg, 8 rpg and 3 apg.
So lets play hypothetical here. Is it fair to call him a bust when he’s NEVER averaged more than 25 minutes per game in a season?

He’s never averaged more than 25 because:
- Playing behind Rasheed in Detroit.
- Playing behind Dwight in Orlando.
- Playing behind Marc Gasol in Memphis.
Since Minnesota really doesn’t have shit outside of Love and Tolliver, he’ll have much more opportunities than in the past.

If the kid was really something special, you’d think coaches would somehow give him more minutes.
It’s not the same case as Oden where we can’t determine if he’s a good player or not due to injuries. Even if you don’t factor his Detroit days he’s had five or so seasons under his belt, which is a big enough sample size.
You also forgot which draft class he was taken from and when he was selected, which makes it harder for him to not be called a bust.
I’d love him to prove me wrong this year though, 23/16/5/6 is a nasty line. It’ll be the highlight of this NBA season.
And plus Darko was a 18 year old Euro FOB in Detroit. Those years shouldn’t even count. Back then if somebody called him a douche bag, he probably laughed because he didn’t know what they said.
It honestly is still crazy that he’s actually a year younger than LeBron.

Taj Gibson was great on the boards and seems to be a decent passer for his position. Him and Noah compliment each other nicely. Love the effort they put into the game.

It’s a good deal for the hornets because their playing great and want to get under the luxury tax. Plus Peja is expendable for them.

By playing well? Besides his natural position is PF, he could’ve played beside Howard and Gasol, which he actually did at Memphis and iirc was their starting PF that season. He got BENCHED after some games because he sucked.
And like I said before, he WAS given playing time, but you’d figure someone who’s drafted 2nd OVERALL in one of the most talented draft classes would average better than 6/5 in 20-something minutes.
