I’m all for flopping fines but for the most obvious ones that are committed like some of Griffin’s,CP3, Harden’s, and Ginobili’s best work.
Stuff like Ginobili’s and Bell’s double flop, CP3’s copter spin, Griffin’s falling, or even Bosh’s elbow from Boozer are the things, I would really look into.
It’s going to be really hard to judge some charges though.
Those fines are going to get appeals up the ass. This is going to be a nightmare for the league to deal with it since these calls are so god damn subjective anyways.
P.S How does soccer deal with flops? Do they just let that shit go or what?
A good number of times the ref will be all, “get up, pussy” when someone tries it. If you flop in the box to try and get a penalty kick you can get booked (yellow card). Doesn’t mean a ref won’t fall for it sometimes though. But man they sure do try.
And if flopping doesn’t work, there’s always calling for a stretcher to take a guy off the field, which works wonders when that guy comes back in less than a minute later. Dat European medical miracle.
As someone who was typically the biggest guy in the floor…he’s right. Someone could run full steam into me…if I don’t hit the deck its always a blocking foul, even with hands straight up and not moving. when taking a charge, unless you ‘give’ to the offensive player - you will never get the call.

As much as I’m anti-flop, I have to wonder how many careers would be so different without it… What if Vlade Divac would have been fined for flopping? Would have have made ANY money in the NBA? I worry about people feeding their families lol.

But it makes me actually kinda like them…they seem to really be trying to put something together. At worse you have trade assests or you get space back from contracts expiring. At best you get actual performance and fouls to give against Philly & LA.
