I doubt Phil will risk tarnishing his legacy by wanting to coach a team that 1) has a bunch of headaches and prima donnas; and 2) isn’t that great in the first place.
Besides, he is going to coach the new Seattle SuperSonics.
I thought Phil retired because of his health and how he could barely walk.
Lakers can send Phil an iPad and he can coach the team at home using facetime and not have to travel.

I think you’re right about #2. I don’t get the Howard hype myself. He’s good and all, but like Carmelo he doesn’t seem to help his team as much as his numbers lead you to believe. I hope this season is a repeat of 2003-2004 for them lol.
