Just keep Horford and Lopez, at least you will be set at center. Or keep no one and get Iggy with it.
Oh fuck off Sheed.

Yes, they’re on sale now.
To be honest…
They look almost exactly like the concept jerseys, minus the color switch up top and different lettering on the back.
looks too original, won’t be coping.
This article kind of says otherwise. I hope he doesn’t rush back or is lead to rush back. Doesn’t take much to have a setback especially the hits he takes.
Let’s go Hawks
Let’s go Hawks
At least Drop Wall, it will only be acouple of years until he hits full JR Rider looney bin status anyway, and he is a bum.
Concept was way better. That little white thing at the top and the numbers made all the difference. Now they are just a monochrome version of OKC.
I don’t know if they will, but shouldn’t the player’s union have a HUGE issue with post-game review and fine for flopping? I know people don’t like it, and it has grown out of control, but technically speaking 9 out of 100 charges are flopping. This can open up SUCH a can of worms.
Again I’m not pro-flop, but I don’t know how well this can be implemented.
And wiz wil lbe fine without Wall. I’d be fine if they traded him frankly speaking. I’ve never been sold on him at the NBA level. If he doesn’t have a MONSTER and I mean All-Star calibur season, especially with Rose not even playing - then he needs to be shipped away for parts. I know its hard to get franchise pieces in the DMV, but they won’t ever field a truly competitive team if they do the Arenas thing all over again. IMO if the team you have on the court will not lead to a championship or a lottery pick - then you need to re-evaluate your squad entirely to see how you can get there. We’ve got pieces that can be used to put together intricate trades to get valuable assets, but we get to stuck on our bigger pieces without realizing…Wall will not win a NBA chip even with Tim duncan in the post. So trade him. srsly.

The post-game review of flopping is going to stir up some issues, but I imagine it would detour some people from doing it. Yeah, the fine ($25K, $50K, ???) won’t hurt the guys that make the big bucks, but it will definitely make the league minimum guys think twice about flopping.
Also, I’m guessing they will only punish the flops that are really obvious. They’d open up a huge can of worms if they start fining those grey area flops where they aren’t sure if it is or isn’t a flop.
Although it’s not perfect, but it should help reduce it a bit.
Can’t wait for the season to start!
What’s with the John Wall hate in this thread. Dude is only heading into his third year and people are writing him off already? C’mon son.
I have a lot of problems with this post.
If we go by your logic then lots of teams must re-evaluate their squad entirely. So anyone that’s not the Heat, Lakers, Thunder and the bottom-feeders should all ship their best assets for parts?
Why does Wall need to have a monster season to earn a right to stay? Does that mean he’ll never be able to win games with anyone if he doesn’t and you gotta trade his ass?
And how the hell do you know they won’t ever be a competitive team with Wall if you’re not even gonna try adding talent to the roster and build one? You would rather give up your BEST opportunity to be a playoff contender in years, go back to the lottery again for x amount of years and wait for a franchise player to come along?
Maybe you should remember how KD wasn’t the crazy scorer he was supposed to be back in Zombieland and people were also calling him a bum. Few years later he’s one of the faces of the NBA and contending for a championship. If you’re serious about trading your best player who is still on his rookie contract, then you don’t deserve to even have him on your team in the first place.
bynum out 3 weeks.
Its simple. It’s his skill set. would you put him at the same level of Iverson, do you even project he oculd reach Iverson’s level? Iverson wasn’t able to do it (win the chip), and frankly I don’t think there is any talent you could have put around Iverson that would have gotten the job done - with Iverson being IVerson - and no thats not a stab at Iverson - personally, its just the playstyle. Wall would be GREAT as a third star on a team, and good as a second…think between Westbrook and Harden…by no means am I saying he isn’t taleneted, can’t ball or anything lke that…
But would you build a team around James “Brown” Harden? would you build a team around Russel Westbrook?
NO. the Thunder are built around Durant…he’s the cornerstone of the franchise…why? because he’s franchise talent that would grow into his potential if it wasn’t met. Wall is NOT that tier. And while you have an issue with what I said because it means most teams need to shuffle…
Thats my point.
There are three things a team should go after…if its not eligible for those three things, it needs to restructure itself.
A championship.
A top 3 lottery pick.
Major Profit.
Those are the end all be-alls. Keep it 100. What’s Atlanta’s impact been since Dominique left? They’ve been consistently ‘alright’, never great’, rarely assed out. Why? Because they couldn’t get there hands on the great picks cause they were too good. They were too bad to win a championship. And combined factors meant that while they made OK money, they didn’t make enough to elevate themselves to a tier were they could afford to build a superteam.
So I do the samething to the Wash Wiz. they haven’t been good since Calbert Cheney was starting and they were still listed as a franchise stolen from baltimore. The last team they fielded with any real potential had Chris webber on it. Outside of that mystical time frame they were too good to get the great pick…or they were bad enough to get it…and waste it on Kwame Brown facepalm. Ultimatly, I think this year they will do OK…their draft pick I think wil lbe a GREAT fit, and they shored up the front line with quality and depth…
but they aren’t going to be great. And if you aren’t great? who was #3 last year in the East? who was #4 or #5? If you remember its because you have ties to the team, great memory, or it just isn’t real far removed for you yet. People remember the top teams and the worst teams. People buy merch that help feed the monster - for the top team (Miami is NOT a big market city - but they can afford that lux tax thinks in part to merch and other bonuses to being the Champs). Being middle of the pack aint shit. If your team isn’t poised to win a championship, then get a top pick or trade assests until you ARE.
I always hark back to 05 I think it was. When MIA won. Imagine if the front office looked at the roster, looked at why they lost, and decided to restructure that season? You wouldn’t of had the lost season due to Arenas and the gun shit. You would have traded him at his PEAK value…I garuntee you would have been able to get someone on the James HArden level if not reach for a Westbrook talent with another piece. You could have pursued a player who could give 20 pts AND defense gasp. They could have looked at Jamesion and realized - while the consumate professional, he’s only going downhill at this point…he won’t 'improve’during the off-season and is most valuable…right now…no seasoning will turn him into a taller Zach Randolf and defender. they could have used him to swindle some legitimate beef to get a bigger and stronger frontline…especially since haywood would be leaving. You look at Caron Butler…he is perfect to use as a second or third option for a true championship calibur squad. He was like a ‘nasty’ Lebron ‘lite’ with a bit more reach and less strength.
So you flip Arenas, flip Jamison and rework the team around Caron as a starting block/foundation (though not the star)…and you now have a team thats more than likely younger, healthier, better defensively, possibly have more offensive punch…not as high scoring as the original trio, but more balanced…and ou can start building towards a championship.
The wiz didn’t. They thought they could sit there and the players would blossom into a chip worthy team. You can do that in OKC because the oldest is Durant…who just turned 24. In Washington Arenas was like 26 - so he’s nearing his prime, and Jamison I think was 30 - at the end of his…so even if Hibachi improved, Jameison wouldn’t…and you need def to win the chip…so Hibachi is NOT the answer.
I can do the sameshit with most of the NBA franchises. Minnesota is the type of team that gets a couple season pass as they see the growth of Batum + Rubio…if Batum flourishes, then they have a great trio on offense and defense that has long term potential to be in the chip discussion. NYK are in the chip hunt…they won’t win, but htey are in the hunt. Same for Boston. Houston? WTF are they going to do? Dallas? Those teams should be tanking hard as fuck trying to save as much money as possible and hoping for a good pick…they will NOT make it to the finals.
