NBA Live '13 Cancelled
LOL 2 years in a row?! Damn, gets me more hyped for 2K13.
EA needs to call quits until next generation. Clearly they need an entire new development team for their basketball sim. They’ve been stuck on the same stick figure animations ever since this gen started, very few innovations.
Soundtracks were dope, though.
Madden would have been toast too if they didn’t grab that license.
NFL license expires in 2014, but they will prob re-up on it. Not like it matters, the 2K NFL development team was broken up and some of them work on NBA 2K now. And coincidentally, that was when NBA 2K started getting to the next level thanks to the extra development people involved.
So in essence, EA made the competition stronger from a basketball standpoint.
About damn time.
Cp3, Blake, Ginobili, and Harden are about to lose half their salary to charity.
I thought they already had a rule but it was never enforced. I don’t agree with no in-game penalty. Ejecting players is the most realistic way to stop it, since it can result in their team losing the game. Players don’t give a fuck about fines. Not when they’re making millions a year, or is the NBA planning to fine them 500 grand per flop?
LOL no way. $50,000 at the most…
Maybe they can do it like techs. You hit a certain number and you get suspended.
LOL, Heat signed Rodney Carney.

Oh god.
“That was a great pass by Ricky Davis” - holy shit remember when he was supposed to be the next Kobe, before JR Smith was supposed to be the next Kobe?
Wow that takes me back.
My fondest Ricky Davis memory was him purposely shooting on his own basket and rebounding his miss in an attempt to score a triple double.
Not sure if this was posted yet but:
Holy shit
R.I.P. Flop City
I swear if that nigga wasn’t retarded he would be pretty damn good…
Also thumbs up to the flop bullshit being a fineable offense…
Still rooting for the Bulls…
They actually can not reup, EA lost a suit and were basically called a monopoly with the NFL franchises. Basically they are allowed to play it out their remaining contract and that is it, they can not renew.
Actually I believe that EA is paying a very large settlement out in order to keep the case out of court and did in fact ‘not lose’ a case but agreed to pay a settlement to avoid a judgment. I could be wrong but I think that’s what actually happened. But certainly in either case, EA will have the right to bid on utilizing the NFL’s trademarks to make a Madden game but the NFL can choose how many companies to give the licence to and if a company comes out with a big enough offer above and beyond what their competitors can match with the condition that they be the only one with the licence then…that’s business for ya.
Sorry for derailing back to NBA news.
I have to disagree.

That wasn’t a flop. It was a crab fall.
