09 was a good draft. Blake, Harden, Curry, Rubio, Jennings, Lawson, Jrue, Lawson. Decent guys like Collison, Teague, Gibson, Mullens, Maynor, Blair, Hansbrough.
And of course the best of the bunch DeMar DeRozan. So good he needs 4 capital letters in his name.
We talked about that draft in IRC, Harden was OKC’s first draft pick as the Thunder. Man we stayed up way to late talking basketball.
And to add to that '09 draft, every scout expected it to be the worst draft class in the decade heading in, with no one relevant besides Griffin. Even college fans were mocking about how bad it would turn out.
I disagree with '07 being in outstanding compared to the other recent ones. Not as many relevant players deeper into that draft.
If we count out '11 since it was only last year, '02 has to be the worst. You probably can’t even name more than 5 decent players from that class.
