WNBA games are on NBA TV and ESPN channels. Whereas SL games are strictly NBA TV or streamed online for $4.99. So yes, no shock the ratings would be lower. Just a few years ago, NBA was basically doing bootleg streams of the games online only before deciding to put HD video equipment in the gym and showing them on NBA TV.

Actually if people took SL more seriously Lin would’ve gotten noticed back in 2010 and not 2 years later when the world needed the NY media to hype him up. I remember one of the games he outplayed #1 pick John Wall and I wanted the Raptors to sign him as a backup guard before he signed with GSW.

Real fans don’t “need reasons” to watch SL, and that brings us back to my first point. I’m looking at a blog right now where Laker fans are talking about what Andrew Goudelock and Darius Morris did. Only real fans pay attention to these type of players, the ones that know A-Z on a roster and care if certain players make it or not.

Ironically (but probably not), only a bandwagon fan would belittle and say things like SL is not important because they’re only caught up in ‘real’ games and star players.
