You’re supposed to mash until it works, not mash until it breaks…
Has anybody found a place in the USA to print custom artwork for the vlx? Last time i looked around places like Kinko didnt sell prints wide enough but maybe since then they have starting printing at that size.
I will be posting this question in the stick art thread as well, so if you have any contributing answers please post them there as well

All you should have to do is find is a place with a plotter/wideformat printer. They usually charge by the height, rather than the width, so something like a control panel will be under 1 foot assuming they dont print the file the wrong way (kinkos is dumb and will screw up like this) and charge your more for their mistake.
i just made a plexi for my VLX and just used two sheets…disregard the happ start button i sold the PCB…lol…

If i do find a place, what kind of paper material should I print on. Will photo paper do? they have paper long enough >.<
=( i cant make plexi panels.
80lbs cardstock will do you good brother… but normal print paper is usable as well…
Blklightning is going to start making VLX panels and plexi…

i can make plexis for people if they want them…either size, normal or extended.

Quick question guys.
I am trying to dual mod my PS3 VLX with an Xbox PCB, but I would like to know which wires at the back of the box are for the Home and Select buttons?
Thanks.
Many thanks!!!
So that’s the 2nd and 3rd wires of the middle connector.
I guess the ground is just any ground there then seeing as it is common ground, right?
finally got around to dual modding my ps3 vlx.
Does anyone know if its possible to get 24mm 1-player start buttons? Something like these:

I just found that over google.
New VLX Pro for 455 bucks but I have no clue about the shipping fee and when it’s really secure or not.
If anyone else is worried about accidentally hitting the start button on the VLX, there is a simple button mod that you can do to stiffen up the sanwa button and increase the engage distance.
Remove the microswitch from the button and reduce the size of the protruding piece of plastic (see image below). In the end I cut it all the way back. Then place a suitably sized spring inside the button (I used a spring that I had lying around but I reckon a spring from a stick would suit). Then put the button back together.
The button will have much greater resistance and will need to be pushed down further to activate the button. It would be impossible to press this without really trying to press it. Now I can be less paranoid about hitting it in a tournament!

Has anyone here ever managed to bring a VLX on a plane as carry-on? I have brought a TE on a plane before without a problem. The VLX fits perfectly into a gearbag and I have carried that gearbag on to a plane many times before. Just afraid of not being able to being the VLX!
Every airline has slightly different variations on their carry-on dimensions but if you’re close to them then you should be fine. Check the airline’s website for those dimensions. Although, I can only imagine how embarassing it’d be if they open your VLX bag & take it out in front every body, LOL!
My VLX for ps3 just arrived today, I gave myself a second thought, its was too expensive I ordered the HRAP V3 SA for $129.99 + taxes. I was planning to return the VLX, but I am going to lose the money for restocking fee and reshipping back. If any of you are interested in this can come to Kansas state and pick this up for $350 , its brand new, still in the box, sealed.
It’s a shame that I don’t live even close to that area. I would definitely pick that up for 350 still sealed.
