I know a glitch involving the Rocket Launcher and Banshee.
I don’t think anyone else knows about it yet. Ill start a thread about it, explaining it and shit if you guys want me too.
Heres the glitch, since one dude contacted me in PM.
On Ascention
Have one person take the rocket launcher to the “base” sniper tower. Have another player fly the banshee to the right hand side of the tower. Lock on shot with the rocket launcher, and have the banshee player dodge the rocket.
Wait about 10-15 seconds.
There you have it. If you did it right, the rocket will come out of nowhere and blow up the banshee.
This is actually more of a trick than a glitch. If you watch the rocket, it actually flys around the entire level, and because you fired it out in nomans land, there are no structures or invisible walls to obstruct its path.
This may have already been discovered I don’t know.

Anyway, I know a crapload of glitches. Me and a friend of mine found our own on lockout, i just havn’t had the chance to by a capture card yet. If anyone wants to know, lemme know and i’ll make some text tutorials of ones that havn’t been posted yet.
There getting rid of ALL the glitches…wall grabbing, sword cancel, any cancel, weapons dissapearing…
what they need to sort out is the voice comms…it bugs the shit out of me when you get close to the enemy and they can hear you!? wtf is that about your telling your team mate a plan and they can fucking hear you…DUH!!!

No, if your close to someone they can hear you, no matter what.
Its a attempt to make it more realistic, you can talk to your teammates through communicators like walkytalkys but the other team can’t hear you…if your talking and your close to someone, they’re gonna hear you. So, White button = Communicator.
And bungie isn’t getting rid of all the glitches, in fact, there are a couple that bungie purposly put in there and a couple that bungie has no idea about. Of course, thats not any of the ones that are posted on the net, but the private glitches that glitching clans have found. There are countless number of glitches, like in any game. Me and a friend have found 3 of our own that no one has heard about or knows how to do(so far) and we havn’t shared it with anyone. We’re waiting for bungie to patch everything else otherwise they’ll just patch these with it.

Yes, you bought Live, but did you read the terms of service? Microsoft reserves the right to ban your account for any reason they see fit, and cheating in Halo 2 has been established as a reason they will ban you.
Yeah its a service. That means you agreed to their rules. So go ahead and break them but dont whine when they ban your ass and you lose the rest of your subscription.
Does Bungie only know about cheaters by feedback? Because couldn’t Bungie see something suspicious about a team winning a CTF game in less than 2 mins on Waterworks?
Maybe in single player things, but not in multiplayer when it just fucks things up for everyone else :tdown: .
Depends what glitches. Bungie now consider the dummy glitch a bannable offense and cheating, and most glitches are being removed. If you need proof go to the cheating FAQ here
Another thing, what is the point in cheating? Maybe you enjoy being lvl 50, but everyone knows you cheat if you are! The only point in the ranking system is so that you can play games against people of your own ability. If you cheat to force the system into accepting you as a better player, you get owned in any real games! What is the point in messing things up for everyone else? Let me know if there is one, but I dont see what it is.

When you force the game of H2 to become about ‘Who has host’, you take away the fun for everyone else in the game. If you don’t have a problem with that, you need to walk in front of a bus.
Also… The ONLY thing that stops the enemy from hearing you, when you’re next to them, is the mute button. You CAN NOT talk to your team, without ALSO broadcasting it to everyone in the nearby area, friend or foe. The white button does NOT restrict your communications to only your team. ALL it does, is make sure your WHOLE team(Or, Everyone else in a Free For All), hears it. Period.
Oh, and HAQ, you cracked me up when you said that not many people know about Secondary Standby. Secondary Standby is just as popular as Primary Standby, and has been, since god damned christmas. You didn’t think of it first, and you were quite a bit behind when you finally stumbled across it… But, there ‘are’ ways to stop it.
Sign of Secondary - Anybody doing secondary standby, will have their connection in the red.(Hold the Back button to view the players list, and there’s a green/yellow/red bar next to their name relating to their connection. It drops in the red because they’re cutting off their connection.) Lag can still put someone in the red, but very rarely does it keep them in the red.
I have a big question can you only get banned from feedback?
cause Honestly there is no fun in cheating wether or not the other team does it. I HATE Cheating and Glitches but if everyone does a Glitch on me I have use it against them.
and one more question if you get banned does it ban you from all other Live games???

If you get banned, its usually from the Live service completely - so any Live games.
You CAN get banned simply from feedback, but only if there is cheating feedback from a wide range of people. But a lot of banning comes from Bungie. They get it from games stats and reports on the official cheating thread

I don’t play this game, but I find glitches can add alot to games. It might not in this situation but I think you all are being a little to harsh on glitches, who doesn’t love the Juggernaut glitch? I think it’s more on a situational basis, watching people do the sword glitch is actually cool, honestly I think it’s one of the cooler aspects of the game, it gives you an ability you would definately not have otherwise and it does have limitations. Please ignore if it offends, I’m just a Halo 2 scrub who watches his friends.
Hey, when you get a perma ban, you’ll change your ways, that or you’ll start blowing $50 a pop to get your service back each time you decide to cheat. Every time I see a cheat in the game, I report the person. I’m sure I’m not the only one doing so.
