I’m sad I missed your match on the stream, but good to hear you did well.

saw alot of good playin’ from GA players this weekend while stream monsterin’. good stuff on those that made top 16 in super and mahvel, and real awesome to those who made top 8 in teken.
good showing fellas.

Just wanted to jump in and say great to job to GA. My heart broke a couple of times, but glad to see you guys had a good run. Next time it’ll be even better.

Just wanted to say I had an amazing time at CEO. This weekend really reminded me why I love this community so much. Great people, great times, and great moments. Big thank you to Chris Greene, Joe, Chris Barnes for riding/rooming. Thanks to all my friends for the great times. Awesome job to Raph in ST and AE for handing out ultra-massages. Awesome job to Rashid for doing well well in AE. **
** Both FR teams for doing amazing in AE teams, Dru and Redd for being on some other shit on Sunday and being ON FIRE!!! Too much fun to watch and cheer for. And, of course, shoutouts to MuMuchDamage aka Mr. Perfect. Sorry to anyone I forgot, but this weekend really motivated me and also made me appreciate the people in this community. Too much fun.

**Edit: ** Damn I’m stupid. Obviously big shoutouts to Pokchop and Redd for doing so well in Tekken. Awesome to see Redd slay GM and Pokchop slay Fab!!! Also great job to Ivysaur and Eshi take 2nd and 3rd in Blazblue! GA is best in America! Big thank you to Paul and John for teaming with me! Sorry if your back hurts, John! :stuck_out_tongue:

Great job to everyone that attended CEO from ga or our neighboring states. Thanks for rooting each other on during the tournament. Someone asked me “when did Georgia players get so good at StreetFighter”? I just smiled and said they are mad hungry! I hope everyone learned something from this past weekend. we did well in earning respect from top players, but now we have to step it up to the next level! I know you guys can do it, because I see it in your eyes! It’s time to get in the Lab and be a true force in the community as a whole!

PS.- Thanks for the support while I was playing but i’ve come to the moment that I thought would never get here. I think i’m past my serious playing days! :frowning: I get more joy in seeing you guys doing well in the tournament than my personal matches during tournaments.

Howdy, all. Just moved into Atlanta proper (a literal stone’s throw from Piedmont Ave. in Midtown) after spending a year in the midst of GA’s rural hell (I’m very much a city boy), and the year prior out in North Dakota (PAINFUL lack of interest or scene, there). Figured my improved proximity to some scene areas makes for as good a time as any to throw out a post.

I’m rather excited to be in an area that seems to have some action going on in it… though, if I’m honest about it, my 20 or so years of playing (holy crap; has it REALLY been THAT long since SF2?) says very little about my involvement in the scene – I’m pretty new to it all. It was 2004 that I learned that there were tourneys, and I had no idea how to get involved in that sort of scene. I’ve only just begun to keep up with things via event streams and lurking around forums, so… yeah. It’s pretty safe to say that, despite how long I’ve been at it, I’m an absolute newcomer to the scene as a whole. Gotta wonder if it’s ever too late to get involved. :x

I’ll give most games a shot, though I do have my preferences – Been playing a lot of SSF4AE and Tekken 6 these days, and I’m definitely looking forward to 3sO. I’d probably still play CvS2, too, if I knew a single soul still willing to throw down. I claim no real skill in the newer stuff, though. Not yet, anyway. Definitely looking to put the time in and learn, though. Especially from others’ experience.

I dunno how much I’ve got in the way of forum contributions; I’ve never been much of a forums guy. ^^;; Once I get a good handle on the public transit system in the area, though, I’ll probably be pretty mobile, and will start finding my way out to places like B&B, or wherever else there’s a good match to be had.

Feel free to hit me up on XBL (CaosAdInfinitum) if any of y’all need an AE punching bag. I’m usually on most nights (though this may not be the case for the next 2 or 3 days as I make my way through unpacking. Ugh).

Yo. Just wanted to drop in here to see whats up. I’m gonna be heading out to Atlanta in a couple of weeks and crashing out there for about 9 days (July 1-9). Although I’ll be busy that weekend I essentially have about a week to hang out. I was out there a couple years ago (August 09 I believe) and went to a local tournament and met some cool peeps. Dragged my ass all the way down to EP (is that still around?). Anyway, I won’t be in the city of Atlanta. Probably about 20 min north outside of Atlanta(Norcross?) and was curious if anything was going on while I’m down there. Don’t really play any of the new school games (SF4, MvC3, MK9). More of a 3s purest.

Anyway, let me know whats up.

welcome to the ga scene

I heard Eddie’s group was having car trouble when leaving CEO. I really hope they’re alright =(

CEO was a ton of fun but if it taught me one thing it’s how little people care about Blazblue. It’s a new great game, part of the Evo line-up, had Tokido in the brackets, and yet Soul Calibur IV’s 5 man bracket was chosen to be streamed and took up so much time it put the entire rest of the tournament behind. *Soul Calibur. *

tourney this sat. hope some of u guys can make it .
