I didn’t buy ah3. I’m kinda worried about buying anything from them for now on.
I finally learned the hypergrav loop. Not too hard once you get the rhythm. I still can’t do the rom to save me life. And i’m too far commited to the MVC layout to go back down. Kind of weird that pinking my d/f H works for the hypergrav corner loop, but I can never get it to work with the actual rom. I guess I’m going to be stuck on the fly loop forever. I don’t mind MVC3, since I play mainly with high execution character I find myself in training mode to get around my horrible execution. I don’t have any keep away characters to fall back on like I did in MVC2. This much training mode reminds me of when I was playing Guilty Gear.
So uhh… I can’t believe it took me a year to find out who the Epic Sax Guy is. That guy is definitely worthy of the name.
@branh For the ROM Loop, I don’t piano the buttons however, I do piano the buttons for the hyper grab loop.
My rom loop looks like:
J.H addf(M+H) J.H sjub
It’s easier for me that way, and I don’t have to change the button layout.

The blanka stick is messing up sir. It sometimes doesn’t jump. like it gets stuck sometimes. Anyways i can’t use that at ceo and that is going to piss me off since they are having multiple system games!!! Can you come by and fix it before I leave on friday?
So… I was browsing the tournament section and found a couple of local tournaments coming up soon. 1 tournament is this week (I know CEO is this week too) and the other tournament is next Saturday. I have to work so I won’t be attending either of them, but I thought I’d post them up for anyone who didn’t see them.

Tried to use the default, but its too awkward for me. Tried to switch to the default several times, but by habit I still think I’m playing on the MVC2 layout. I use to think the MVC2 layout didn’t work for the advanced stuff, but when I went to EP Clint was doing the rom just fine with the regular MVC2 layout. The issue I’ve having is with the initial H in the loop. I think if I were able to get that first H, then I could get the ROM down. But it seems that the initial H is tricky.

The trick is to delay the first and the second h after the launcher. The rest of it can be done as quickly as you want.
Who “really” still plays are Karapalm, me, when I lived there, and a few others, but that’s about it to be truthfully honest with you. I’m sure me & Karapalm will play when 3sOE comes out but as for the state in a whole, people will “try” it, then only those who really like the game, which the test of time will show, will still be playing. Just my two cents.

As some of may or may not know Magnicious is in Texas cause he went to the Air Force so he won’t be back til November for Impact Clash. Therefore, Pokchop, Iceman and I will be still running Atlanta Revival every month but it has been brought to my attention that SBO Qualifier is the same weekend as Atlanta Revival. I do value everyone’s opinions and I want to make the best decision for the community when it comes down to tournaments. I finally got the first H down last night. Now it’s starting the loop :(. Oh well the SJUB height and timing shouldn’t be as tricky. Is there any character that the rom don’t work on. Last night my dummies were Phoenix, Felicia, and Shuma. All 3 are small characters with odd hitboxes. Does timing need to be adjusted for sprites?
I’ll be trolling 3s online. I’ll have my legendary turtle Chun which got my 4th at one revival.
The SJUB j.h ADDF j.h is more like a rhythm for me. You’ll have to find a pace that you’re comfortable with. One of my friends does the loops fairly slowly while I do it as fast as possible.
I haven’t practiced on every character, but i’ve gotten it to work on every character I’ve practiced against consistently except for Viewtiful Joe. The height is specific, and maybe Joe’s hitbox is picky. It works fine on Amaterasu for me and I haven’t tried Shuma or Zero. I’ll give it a try and let you know how it works out.
EDIT: Shuma and Zero are fine.Arthur and Hsien-Ko however, are not. It’s difficult to perform the rom on them consistently.
