Official FA Sparky PWM RGB LED Controller Thread

Does the Sparky PWM come preset with a color combination or is only programmable?.. I tried using it on a past build and it went terrible

I believe they come pre programmed well mine did anyway and it works perfectly.

I had read someone in a previous post had asked what the color codes for 2.0 were, did we ever get an answer? It’s kind of frustrating that the creator of the project dropped support on it and just moved on to something else when there was still so much to be done with this project…

Where can I purchase one of these? I can’t find them available. Also how easy would it be to get one working along with a PS360+?

I’m afraid that we no longer offer the Sparky PWM. You might find it at Paradise Arcade’s shop. http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/

Is there a replacement known, similar product, or a newer version on the horizon for this board? I would love to get my hands add this to add it to my current project!!

There is some talk of a new controller and LEDs at Paradise Arcade. You might try there until we are able to release our own unit at Focus Attack.

I got a hold of a used Sparky PWM and I have to build my own harness since the original is not functional. I am using a PS360+ as my PCB

Question: Do I have to connect the button wire from the Sparky PWM all the way to the button itself or can I just wire it to same function port (K1 or P1…) on the PS360+ ?

Is the only way to program the controller through the FDTI cable? I got my friend to install the controller and Arc Eyes 3(still waiting on my 8 clear buttons to come in from Focus Attack) but are the 8 buttons the only LEDs programmable? I got two extra LEDs running through the sides of my stick but I don’t like the pattern it’s running on. It transitions smoothly through the colors in one cycle but the next cycle blinks in rotation while I would just like the side LEDs to smoothly transition.

Hi Syn,

This forum was started when I sold the Sparky PWM, but I no longer offer that product. As I recall, yes, you need a FTDI cable to program anything else into the PWM. You could use the Configurator 3.0 software for that, depending on the firmware that is on that Sparky.

What I can’t recall is whether the Sparky can handle more than 8 buttons. I haven’t been asked that question before. However, Matt Gummo might know. Can you send your question to him by emailing support (at) focusattack.com? I’ll alert him on our ticket system.

Sorry I’m getting to this late. I need to close this forum since we don’t support the PWM anymore. Can you send a message to support (at) focusattack.com? Matt Gummo (aka Gummowned) may have some insight.

Is this same as the one paradise arcade shop selling?

No - The Kaimana is a different LED controller.

Paradise also offers Sparky controllers.

So I’ve bought and successfully installed the sparky PWM controller into my TE, The problem comes when I try to program it via the configurator. The FTDI cable isn’t being recognized via the usb port. I am a windows 8 user. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are any shops selling a sparky? I’m looking to buy an led controller for my fight stick but i can’t find one anywhere.
