I’m gonna update my laptop’s video card drivers to see if that shitty integrated graphics card can run DIII or equivalent games. If it does, I’ll be playing sooner than I thought I was. If not, I’ll buy a new processor in a few weeks+the Diablo III CE. If I can get a hold of the CE, I’ll be giving away all the guest passes I get with it in this thread.
Save me some low level barb gear or something, when I do start playing, I’ll be catching up quick as hell. Are there USWest/East B.net servers like D2? How many acts are there? How’s the gameplay? >.>

So I was one of the lucky ones who got in at 3:00 EST this morning played until about 6:30 got to level 17 on my monk. I’m somewhere in the middle of Act 2 but I don’t know where exactly, Act 1 turned out to be much longer past the beta than I thought it would be. I’m very happy with my experience so far.
I won’t be able to finish Act 2 today though because I’m flying down to watch Pacers / Heat. So on Wednesday if there’s someone hovering around the Act 2 area hit me up and we’ll kill the bad guys for great justice!
BTW, I thought there’d be alot more monks, but I played with like… 8 different people last night and I was the only monk. I saw 2 barbs, 2 wizards, 1WD, 1 Monk (me), and 2 DHs. Not a huge sample size but it was interesting.
I am pretty close to picking up a regular edition and just keeping my CE sealed until the end of time.
I feel like a junkie that’s waiting for his fix, when he could just get it right after work instead.
even after act 1 i can’t disagree about GOTY.

Okay no spoilers but at the end of act 1 you have to watch that cinematic… so freakin’ good.
I’m enjoying the cinematic scenes in this game.
Thing is, I’ve never seen part 2’s scenes ever, even though I beat that game at least 200 times.

You never watched the cinematics the first time you played?
It was intense, cause the full install including cinematics was like 750MB, which was huge back then.
I didn’t do it so I had to swap the cinematic disc in all the time haha Stupid 4gig HD.
For those who have been playing: How is the difficulty?
To be more specific, how hard is the act 1 boss? I know who it is and I’m really looking forward to fighting it.
It the beginning. Diablo was never difficult or any blizzard game for that matter, at the beginning. Things get difficult when you group up, due to team mates incompetence, or the higher levels.
I already want to go home and play, but its barely 10 and leave work at 5, run work out and wont play till 7pm central again

but diablo 1 was easy as well. Blizzard has always held your hand through at least mid way through the game.
How long do the guest passes last for? Can I start them at anytime or is like a 1 week free trial thing only for a certain time?
I am still waiting for one of you nerds to hop on with me. I’m on Act 2 now, level 15 monk. Got damn, her moves aren’t the same as the demo. And her secondary attacks suck, lol.
