If they do make a new installment I wonder if they’ll add new characters to the series and how they would look as well as if all of the previous DS characters will make a return.

Ruby Heart and Amingo. I want those two in the next game right off the bat, they were originally concepted as Darkstalkers characters to begin with when MvC2 was still DS4.

And if you don’t believe that just look at their sheets, you wouldn’t see that kind of animation/transforming in any other Capcom fighter.

If Capcom does a DS4 it better be based on Vampire Ace. All I know of Vampire Ace is that it was based on Vampire Savior 1 mechanics and it would have the whole Darkstalkers cast plus 3 or 4 new characters.

Wow a new darkstalkers game was planned for the gorgeous cps3? Vampire Ace, why was it officially canceled? Also were there any screens for it, or any other info you know?

I personally don’t care what graphical style the game will have,
but i think some Blazblue style 2D visuals would fit perfectly in with this series.

So , since I said I would post if I heard anything regarding it: Sakamoto (Q-Bee player and host of a regular Savior-themed web stream) mentioned in his latest stream that there will be a live stream for the Club Sega tournament I mentioned earlier. I don’t know for sure exactly where the stream will be, but it might be on his channel. It doesn’t help that the stream log cuts out for me right after he starts talking about it…

Anyway, the latest stream was an interesting watch. In preparation for the aforementioned tournament, it was all about original Vampire and Savior2/Hunter 2, showcasing lots of their unique points via the PS2 Collection’s training mode.

EDIT: It looks like last year’s similar tournament was streamed on his channel, so I’d presume that’s where it’s going to be. Starts December 18, 1:00 AM Japan time.
