The game has an aesthetic that I think is appealing to a lot of people who don’t even play fighters. So, I feel like a re-vamping (no pun intended) of Darkstalkers would do really well commercially if for no other reason than the artwork alone. Not to mention the fact that there are a ton of people in the community of competitive fighters who would jump at the chance to have something fresh to play that doesn’t involve a cast of loli’s (which is an awkward sell to the younger demographic’s parents) or playing on the Wii. While MvC3 promises to help fill this void, I do believe that Darkstalkers is an immense and untapped well that would be well worth the time and effort of developers/testers. Besides, it would be a safe way of testing new concepts that the team may be unwilling to try in a more well-established franchise such as Street Fighter.
Anyway, that’s just my 2 cents.

This profile was created for the sole purpose of adding one more signature to this list. I have been waiting for a new Darkstalkers game for 13 years. Not if Pyron himself in all his power were to beg for a new Darkstalkers by carving his plea onto every planet in every galaxy in every universe could he do it with more feeling and purpose than I type these words now.
Vampire Savior to me is the pinnacle of fighting game experiences available at the moment. To me it is the one Capcom franchise with the most flavor, the most interesting characters, the most intriguing mechanics, and the funnest atmosphere. Not making another game would be a huge disservice to everyone who was unlucky enough to have not been able to play this series in their youth.
A whole generation of kids growing up unable to recognize Morrigan in VS. games is a terrible thing.
