Not really a fan of the tiny avatars. Also not a fan of the trail of avatars of people who have in some way reacted to your post. If we are going to have such tiny avatars, showing the avatar of everyone who has liked, agreed, disagreed, or w/e to a post seems cumbersome (side note-why is there a like and an agree? redundant much?)
I’d also like a return of mouse hovering on thread titles showing a preview of the OP text.

I keep reading a person’s sig as though it was in their post. When I click their avatar, instead of popping out a summary it just takes me to their profile page, this is important as I don’t want to make the site too laggy when I check for a person’s join date every time.
Also don’t think we need a disagree button on SRK, the like feature alone gave enough details.
Is it just me or are the character specific boards for the Strategy Zone a complete clusterfuck right now? Spaces and indents are randomly placed and none of the characters are next to their game.

Having both agree/disagree and likes is redundant. As most people were clamoring for a “dislike” button in the previous format, perhaps ditch the superfluous “like” function and stick with agree/disagree. Maybe change to “like/dislike” if possible, which would achieve the best of both ideas.

Finally found the “edit” button.
Its hard to distinc everything with the current skin, actually. I cant say what is a post, whats a signature, where the avatar’s area starts and ends, I can barely see the lines dividing one post from another. Take a better look at the default skin, admins. This one sucks.
The more I look at the layout the more I fucking hate it, even quoting posts looks stupid. The text of everything on SRK is my main gripe along with the white skin obviously.

Agreed. My sig has a vid that’s embedded everytime as well. I don’t think their is a way to edit them right now…
It looks all devoid of personality. I don’t know how to explain it. I liked looking at all the fun avatars and huge sigs, but now since everything is so small it looks boring. Not to mention that the white on grey with a <i>tad</i> of black is not pleasing to the eye at all. Also, why the change? Was it necessary?

Also, need to point out again the importance of a “go to the first new post in a thread” button, it can get messy when ongoing discussions are being held.
i can’t seem to change my avatar desciption.
i changed my avatar to an eclipse…then i realized i couldn’t change my avatar desciption that says “this is how i look like, don’t make fun”…so i realized putting a solar eclipse as my av would make it seem like i’m decribing myself as a demigod(which, btw, fyi, i happen to be) but that wouldn’t look rational forums-wise so…
so i changed my avatar to a pic of a cute asian chick wearing a funny hat;3
then i noticed that i’m listed on the forums as a male member…and that wouldn’t make sense either.
so i changed my forum listed sex to female.
now everything has fallen into place.
the avatars are too big they should be like 24x24 or smaller

I didn’t think anything could be worse than the Kotaku redesign a year back, but this, this is utter shit.
Pros:
+The automatic draft save is pretty cool.
+Mobile browsing is pretty cool too.
Cons:
-Holy fuck, this color scheme is horrendous. Baby blue text on a white background.
-Forums are in a clusterfuck, but I expect that to be fixed soon, I hope.
-Subscriptions are all wrong, do I need a million notifications for the same thread?
-Likes/Agree, Seriously? It usually meant both when someone clicked it, what does this even mean? Are they so different you need two versions of them?
-The old Avatar layout, where is it? We aren’t in 2002 where forums couldn’t handle a bunch of people with big avatars. Come on now.
-Way too bland.
-I hear edit is 1 hour long, way to make Stickies useless if this is true.
-Speaking of which, separate stickies from the normal threads.

Unnecessary:
-Tapatalk, come onnnnnnnn. Tapatalk is an amazing app making the forums better than they already were and you are going to take that away? I could have saved a page or two with that app but now I need an active connection at all times? Oh did I mention apps are optimized for phones so they don’t kill the battery like a browser does. Also, it notified me to my phone when someone replied to a thread, something a browser app doesn’t do.
No offense, I really don’t browse SRK for it’s front page or anything else (shoutouts to EH). Just here to get some new tech for my games/characters like most other people. And now this change makes the entire forum unappealing to visit. At least if you didn’t like the theme, Tapatalk would have been a good alternative, but that’s not even a choice anymore.
I mean, I like the extra dumb buttons, but did we really have to go all BURN YOUR RETINAS WHITE for it? And how am I level 1? 12 years here, motherfucker. I’m level above all of you.
