I was excited for Lost Planet 3 until I saw Spark was developing it. They gave Lost Planet to the guys who developed Fall of Liberty, one of the worst shooters this generation this side of Darkest of Days and Quantum Theory. WTF were they thinking

What easy money is there to be had with Lost Planet? The second game while successful sold below their expectations. It’s not a franchise that prints money like RE

Lower sales expectations. put less money in it and get a small, cheap dev team to make and sell it on it’s name alone. LP isn’t RE but it still has a folllowing and people still liked LP1 and 2.

I was thinking that Lost Planet would be a good game if they got a non-Japanese company to develop it since its a shooter held back by archaic Japanese game design bullshit with a weird ass aiming system. Then I saw who was developing it and though “fuck it, they’re better off with Capcom and their dumbass game design decisions”.

Resident Evil 6 looks great, I have faith Capcom won’t fuck THAT up, although its pretty much the only Capcom franchise I still have faith in to be good.

New DMC looks like dogshit, as always. Ninja Theory makes terrible games with the exception of Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. I guess “Ninja Theory makes terrible action games” would be more fair.

The Japanese game design is why I like the Lost Planet games. It separates it from the rest of the pack

I will admit i liked LP1s aiming system. i liked that the reticle moved without the camera moving up to a point.

Lost planet was a great game when the new gen started. The graphics were very impressive, LP2 has a lot of technical issues that held it back imho. The fact they are apparently changing dev teams has me skeptical.

Try Anarchy Reigns from Platinum when it comes out. If you haven’t already try out Vanquish,Mad World and Bayonetta. In the wilderness that is known as GD, it is common knowledge Platinum is the new Capcom.

Yea I didn’t like LP2 much at all which was sad cuz I loved the first one.

And considering pretty much all of Capcom’s talent left to form Platinum…yea they are the new Capcom.
