you are totally right I got this game yesterday and the qcf motions are much harder than sf4.
Im using a hori ex2. Supers are wicked tho when they do come out!

I’m not sure what else you can use with meter, mind you. If there are other things I can put it towards, I’ll just avoid the use of supers.
you can use the meter to heat up it may be best to do that then just do normal special moves that are enhanced by being heated up
Some character’s heat modes are essential to there game. Like Ashley and Freed. Others can do with out heat and rely more on there supers, like Cedric and Urs.
CEDRIC. That’s Guile’s name in this game. He’s the other one I like using.
Good to hear that Freed can just use heat mode. Cedric, though… maybe I’ll just main Freed. He’s like the pirate Balrog, so that’s not bad. 
You hit the nail on the head and his Heat mode is pretty nasty.
I don’t know if how useful Donvolve’s heat mode is.
This is like my 3rd or 4th time actually using this website. Ive had this game from sometime now and found this thread on here. Im very surprised to see this many people interested in BF. Anyways i would love to play this more with people online my XBL GT is ( T4RN1SH ).
Also my friend who plays this with me off and on locally read some where that this game is coming to PSN soon but it dint say when. I think the website was Kotaku or something. Sry if this has been posted about already, im still learning the website.
By the way donvalves heat up mode allows him to move faster and has an easy throw grab instead of the 360 grab if i remember correctly.

I just picked up battle fantasia. As I have played so much streetfighter now I need something a bit different! Played a few games last night with mcpervpants although im in the UK and he is in the USA the lag was too bad and had some good battles.

I meant to say the lag WASNT too bad! It held up pretty well. In fact the more games we played the less lag there was! Think we were playing at 200 ping
And yea thats right about donvalave its heat up then forward C. Hes too slow for me though, I have a problem defending as him
Also to anyone-How you getting on with gachi parrying? Sometimes I press it and it just parrys and sometimes I press it and it parrys then automatically attacks for me?
I know what Donvalves Heat does. But if its actually worth the meter vs using his supers is what I’m trying to say.

Could you explain to me how the Gachi Counters work? As I put in my previous post sometimes I parry and have to press an attack button to counter attack and sometimes it just parrys and attacks by itself. is that the gachi drive. And how do I do the two?
Also liking Freed at the moment do you have a simple combos/strategies for him I can start with?
If you hold 6 or 3 when you do a gachi you do a gachi drive. If you just want to attack right after you gachi then just perform what ever it is you want to do right after the gachi.
I got some Freed combos on my youtube channel if that’s what you want.
I just expanded on your info and changed the numerical notation for those who don’t use it.

Ah ok i understand now. Well in my opinion it matters on how you play him and your mix up game cause if you have some one in the corner and he blocks alot then you heat up its easy and fast damage plus it lasts alittle bit so you can mix up attacks and do it again. Thats my thoughts on his “Heat Up”. XD
Also Ill talk to my friend about Don Valves Heat up cause he uses him as a secondary, ill see what he thinks.
Plus, in Heat Mode, Donvalve still has a purpose for his 360 throw. It has juggle potential in Heat mode, wear as the normal 6C (Toward Hard Punch) doesn’t.
My friend said he doesnt even bother to use it when he plays DV just for the fact that its to risky he said. I guess its all a matter of play style and opinion.
