“parry push” is probably Gatchi Drive, do you Fw+Gatchi or DnFw+Gatchi instead of just pressing the button.
Got mine in today finally. I noticed the manual has some font errors in the character moves lists, like they forgot to translate some Japanese text or something. Too bad my internet connection is such shit or I’d be online playing. 
The netcode for this game is actually pretty good. The games that I played with eddymasta and shinto had no lag or a miniscule amount of lag, but I ended up playing some random guy and got owned because the lag was horrible. I guess it all depends on where you live since me and shinto are less than an hour away from each other.
